"how can you still talk to him? if i were you, i'd ignore him" minhee complained.

jeongin rolled his eyes at minhee. "thank goodness she's not you"

minhee shot him a glare before playfully hit him on the shoulder.

"well.. he's a good person. plus, it shouldn't be a big deal. i'm not his girlfriend. i have no right to get pissed" hyejin reasoned out, shrugging.

minhee blinked at her words. jeongin's mouth went agape. the boy then wiped away the non-existant tear before faking a sniffle.

"my hyejinnie is all grown up!" he exclaimed, fake sobbing into the girl's shoulder. hyejin frowned.

minhee rolled her eyes before pulling the boy away from hyejin.

"so, what now?"

hyejin thought about it for a while.

"i'll just act how i usually do"

"are you gonna move on?" jeongin pouted.

hyejin pursed her lips at the question. "i'll try. but for now, i'll just admire him as usual" she said sheepishly.

minhee's lips formed a thin line. "i knew it"

hyejin lightly giggled. jeongin smiled seeing his friend becoming happy again.

the next day, hyejin was heading towards the all too familiar class of her brother. hwang hyunjin, of course had to ask his favourite little sister to deliver him his homework which he had left it at home.

"why does he even go to school very early anyways?? he always manage to forgot things and i, the hwang hyejin suddenly carry the duty to bring them to him" she groaned on her way to his class.

once arrived, she lightly knocked the door and as usual, seungmin being the one greeting her.

"hey, hyejin! been a while since i last saw you" he pouted causing hyejin to let out a giggle.

"hyejinnie!!!" a familiar voice screeched from his seat. the pair turned around and saw hyunjin's panic state.

"hurry up!! give it to me, i haven't finished the damn thing yet!" hyejin frowned at his loud voice before hurriedly making her way towards her brother.

hyunjin was a mess. so many books and papers in front of him, enough for hyejin to know that he had a lot of work to do.

hyejin looked at him unamused. "you're intelligent but your lazy ass just ruined everything for you, bro"

"oh shut up. now go back to where you came from" hyunjin rolled his eyes while his hands busy writing stuff here and there.

hyejin sighed before walking out of the class.

once outside, she bumped into jongho, who had just arrived. she shot him a small smile and did a little bow before walking away.

not until a hand suddenly held onto her wrist. she turned around, giving jongho a questioning look.

the boy scratched the back of his head. "uhm are you free at the moment?"

hyejin blinked. deep inside, she was trying to control her heart.

'i don't think i can ever move on from him..'

"i need to get back to class"

"oh" was all jongho said. "then, can we eat together at lunch?"

"just the two of us!" he quickly added. "u-unless you're uncomfortable then, we don't have to"

hyejin felt heat rushing up to her cheeks at his offer. she cleared her throat.

"uhm sure. you still owe me the free food anyway" hyejin quickly said.

jongho sighed in relief. he smiled before letting go of her hand. "see you later then"
