hyejin was walking down the hallway from the teachers' office while reading through a form that her homeroom teacher had given her.

she occasionally looked up to watch where she was walking, careful not to bump into people. she halted in her steps when she witnessed a scene in front of her.

there, across from her, about five feets away, were jongho and jisu. they both had their arms clinging to one another as jisu was laughing at whatever she was talking about. jongho on the other hand simply smiled at her, his head shaking at the girl's story. all that happened while they were unknowingly walking towards her.

snapping out of her trance, hyejin quickly avoided them and walked a bit further away, not wanting to bump into them.

as she was speeding her pace, she felt her heart broke into pieces. tears slowly filled her eyes. she felt pathetic. pathetic for falling for a boy who was taken.

hyejin heaved out a sigh when she had finally made it to her class, plopping herself onto her seat before placing her head in between her arms, as she lied down on the desk.

minhee had a questioning look on her face but decided it was best to let her be. after all, angry hyejin is a scary hyejin and she didn't want to face that again.

in that state, hyejin let all her tears out. she sobbed quietly onto her sleeves, not wanting to attract any attention.

'this is why i should have stayed as a secret admirer. i shouldn't have befriended him'
