"someone tell me, why the fuck are we in a fancy restaurant where people wear formal clothes and do business meetings?" hyunjin questioned, eyes nervously glancing all around the room, spotting some elegant adults silently judging the group of friends.

it was rather awkward. or at least to most of them. jisung was already devouring the expensive steak in front of him. seungmin was trying his best not to attract any unwanted attention towards them, specifically him. jeongin was poking the steak a few times, contemplating whether he should just eat it or not.

hyejin and jongho, who were beside each other, simply started eating without much care. felix glanced at his uneasy friend and chuckled.

"just eat up, mate. i'm thankful y'all helped me out with my clothes so have no worry, the food's on me" he assured. jisung nodded happily at felix's words, mouth full of food.

jongho chuckled at them before glancing at the girl on his right. hyejin was still not as happy as she usually was but anyone could tell that she was a bit better when jongho showed up.

after minutes of staring, he felt a tap from his left. he turned around and looked at hyunjin. the boy leaned into his ear and spoke, loud enough for only jongho to hear.

"thanks for showing up. hyejin seems better thanks to you" 

jongho frowned. he gave hyunjin a questioning look. hyunjin simply gave him a small grin before returning back to his food.

jongho shrugged it off before looking back to his right. hyejin was silently pushing the broccolis away using a fork, a disgusted look on her face. the boy giggled, causing hyejin to look up at him questioningly.

jongho reached out to the broccolis on her plate before placing them onto his own.

"there. no more broccolis" he smiled.

she felt her heart skipped a beat, heat made its way to her cheeks. she was sure her cheeks were as red as a tomato－although she hated the vegetable just as much as a broccoli.

flustered, she managed to choke out a "thank you" before returning back to her steak, head lowering as she tried hiding her flushed face.

jongho chuckled at her shy state as he shoved a spoonful of broccolis into his mouth, only to end up choking on them.

the boys looked at him confusingly, as he tried to mantain his posture, slowly swallowing the green creatures before speaking up.

"i'm okay"
