When Sophia's mom passed away she was left with nothing, she was left with little money and she didn't know what was going to happen next, she didn't know where she would end up, she never even expected to be adopted by one of her moms best friends...
Working in my office I heard the front door open and I kept working. "Hey Jess." I heard Justin say. "Hey dad." Jessica replied.
"Isn't Sophia supposed to be with you?" He asked and worry hit me, I was up and out of my office to see what Justin was talking about. "She got detention."
"Detention?" I asked and Jessica turned to me. "Yeah she was distracted with her thoughts in math and landed her self in detention."
"Oh my god." Justin said in frustration as he grabbed his car keys. "I'll go get her." He said leaving the house before I could say anything. "I'm not raising another Josh." I said pinching my nose with my hand. "I'm going to go do my homework."Jessica said before leaving the kitchen and bouncing up the stairs.
I didn't want to be brought up to the school again for this type of behavior. I had a hard enough time with Josh doing this now Sophia is doing the same.
"Mom." Jayden called as I opened the fridge to see what I could cook for the family. "In here." I said as I took out some vegetables. "Can we go out for dinner?" He asked as he walked me and I smiled. "Okay, we just have to wait for dad to get back with Sophia."
"Okay." He said and walked back into the living room. "Hey mom." Jade's voice boomed and I turned to her where she held baby Jason in her arms.
"Aw give him to his favorite grandma." I said softly as I walked over taking my grandson from her. "I'm exhausted." She yawned as she looked like she just woke up. "Where's Kane?" I asked as I rocked Jason asleep. "In the shower, he was doing the night feed so he's even worse looking than me."
"It gets better than just sleeping and feeding."
"Really? Because I feel like I'm in a rut."
"You'll be fine, I'll look after this little one while you go get showered because I'm taking everyone out for dinner." I smiled and she kissed my cheek.
"Thanks mom your the best." She made her way upstairs and I made my way into the living room where Jayden had the cushions on the floor and food everywhere. "Clean this up." I said ordering and he acted as if he didn't hear me. Rolling my eyes I got myself comfortable on the corner couch as I cooed down at Jason. "Your my favorite little pumpkin, yes you are."
"Mom your weird." Jayden said.
"Oh give that over I did this to you when you were Jason's size." I said throwing a cushion at him playfully and he rolled his eyes playing his xbox. "Can you please clean this living room and get a shower." I said in a serious tone before getting up and bringing Jason into the kitchen putting him in his rocking chair.
Sitting at the island I opened my laptop and did some more work while I waited. The front door opened and I turned my head to see Sophia walking in with a sulked face. "Get in here." I said as I typed away at my laptop. "Do as your told." Justin said and Sophia sighed walking in and standing next to me.
"How the hell did you land yourself in detention?" I asked not looking at her. "I was distracted in class."
"Don't let it happen again." I said and she she whispered something under her breath. "Go get ready we are going out for dinner and tell Jessica the same." I said looking at her, she nodded her head before walking out of the kitchen. "We are going out?" Justin smirked at me and I smiled. "I am tired of cooking, let's just spoil the kids for once."
"I don't think we should be spoiling that type of behavior."
"She will get her punishment when we get home." Smiling, Justin wrapped his arms from behind me kissing my head. "Wow, what changed in you? You were never strict."
"I thought it was time to take charge."
"I like this new you, it turns me on." He whispered and I laughed as I continued my work. "Go get ready, I'll follow you up in a few minutes just going to finish this." I said and he kissed my cheek walking away from me. Fixing my reading glasses I continued with fixing the problem that Justin caused, the money he lost and the downfall that came after it.
Forcing my self away from the laptop I closed it, checking in Jason to see he was sleeping and placed my glasses on the island counter before heading upstairs where I could hear a lot of chit chat and laughing coming from every room. Checking in on Sophia and Jess they almost had a heart attack thinking I was Justin. "It's only me." I said and deked my head around the door to see them in only their underwear dancing around the room music. "You two look like your having fun." I said smiling before leaving, Jade exited her room in a beautiful flowy black dress and I smiled. "Where's Jason?" She asked noticing I wasn't holding him. "He's only downstairs sleeping in his rocking chair." I said to stop her from panicking.
I kissed her cheek making my way to my room to see Justin coming out of the shower with a towel around the waist. "You took your time." He said grabbing his clothes and pulling them in. "I had to clean up your mess from the office." I said not wanting to talk about it and he stayed quiet also. "Have you spoken to your mom?" He asked and I went a little distant. "No, not really since she went crazy about us letting Jade keep the baby."
"It was our choice." He said. "You don't think I know that Justin?" I barked and I sighed "I'm sorry I'm just under a lot of stress." I apologized and he smiled at me, walked over and wrapped his arms around me. "It's okay, we are all under stress." He said rubbing my shoulders. Sighing we stayed like that until I walked into the bathroom for a shower. Things have just been difficult with not speaking to my mom, having a newborn in the house, Sophia acting up in school and sorting out the mess Justin made with our company.
Letting the water flow down my body I tilted my head back and closed my eyes, letting the steaming hot water take my stress away for one night. Washing my self I quickly finished up not wanting to waste anymore time being late.
Turning off the water I stepped out of the shower wrapping a towel around my naked body and wiped the steam from the mirror. Looking into my reflection all I saw was a broken tired mother who needed to get her self back to who she really was, bubbly, happy and full of life.

I don't know why but I'm crying at every chapter maybe because I know Selena and Justin are no longer but I wish they were, I know they were toxic for each other but they are my favorite couple and I know he's married but I'm team Jelena, straight from the heart😫
