Obito's arm dropped from mine and I felt as though cold water had been thrown over me. Obito slid into the booth, across from Kakashi, stunned. He had asked this man to help me, his friend, didn't Shisui say his roommate from college? It was my ex, my first everything. What do I say? Do I leave? Do I laugh? Do I cry?

Kakashi stood and pulled me into a hug, wrapping his arms around me protectively. I wanted to push him away, but found myself inhaling his all too familiar scent, returning his embrace. I haven't seen him in five years, he broke up with me six years ago. Kakashi released me and settled back into the booth.

"Wait," We both looked to Obito and he continued, "You two used to date?"

I nodded as I sat across from Kakashi, Obito sliding further into the booth, "Yes." Was all I managed to say.

"When?" Obito seemed so surprised.

"It's not important." Kakashi answered.

"I'd like to think taking my virginity, promising to marry me and then dumping me for another woman, is important." I snapped.

"If you put it like that, then yes. That's not why we're here though." Kakashi defended.

"We're not discussing this with you. I'll have Naruto ask his Captain at work."

"I am his Captain."

"Wait, your brother is a cop?" Obito asked.

"Yes." I said looking at Obito, I turned back to Kakashi, "Well isn't it a small world." I snorted.

"Isn't Inuzuka a cop?" Obito asked.

"Yes, he's over the k-9 unit." Kakashi answered this time.

"Shikamaru, Sai, Lee, Neji- They're all cops in some department. Even Ino, she's a secretary at the precinct." I answered, still staring at Kakashi.

"Why didn't you ask them?" Obito pushed.

"Because I don't like sharing my story." I snapped, looking at him again. I sighed, "I'm sorry. You're trying to help me, and you barely know me. Thank you for trying, but I am not telling Kakashi about what happened."

I moved to stand but Kakashi's warm and calming grip on my wrist stopped me, "He said you were assaulted."

"Nine months ago. In another city, not your jurisdiction."

"I may know someone there. I know people at the federal level." He countered.

"Ry Shimura." Was all it took for his grip to tighten on my wrist before he let go.

I found Obito thinking, trying to place the last name, "You dated Danzo Shimura's son for four years?"

"Three." I replied.

"Sit." Kakashi growled.

"I'm not some little girl you can manipulate anymore."

"I didn't manipulate you."

"You two can have this conversation later, let's focus on the real issue here." Obito interrupted.

I sighed and sat down next to Obito again. He had his arm on the back of the booth, and brought it down around my shoulders, rubbing my arm slightly. "I'm fine." I mumbled, though he didn't stop his action.

Kakashi's eyes studied us carefully before he spoke, "You want to start from the beginning?"

"Not really." I grumbled before rolling my eyes. "We dated for a little over three years. I caught him cheating on me, dumped him. He came back a week later, begging for forgiveness, I told him I couldn't do it. He hugged me, saying he understood, when he did, he injected me with a paralytic. He beat me up, I was in the hospital for three days. I pressed charges, but you can see why they were dropped."
