March 3rd:
Twenty-two days until the wedding.
"Are you insane?!" Zabuza was not happy when Y/n told him her plan. "That's too dangerous. And why would you even say you were going to marry him!" He was pacing the floor and making wild hand gestures. Kisame and Y/n exchanged a look from their respected spots on the couch. "How could you let her do this?!" He finally faced them and his piercing gaze found Kisame.
Kisame stood up and waved a hand to the woman who was the current topic, "She outranks me!" Was his first defense, "And it's a good plan!" No one knew why he was yelling, but he was defensive, and so was Zabuza.
"Her plan is a trap- traps don't work," Zabuza looked to Y/n and Kisame dropped his hand and turned to her as well, "It's dangerous." He repeated.
She sighed, "So make sure Haku isn't late." She made it sound so easy and lazy. "I told you from the beginning, if I die doing this, I die doing this."
Both males had their faces fall but Zabuza managed to gather his wits first, "No one is dying."
Y/n couldn't help herself, "If Izuna accidentally falls onto a bullet, I wouldn't be surprised." She shrugged.
Kisame laughed and Zabuza rolled his eyes, "This isn't the time to make jokes." She pouted and Zabuza sighed this time, "I want to hear your plan again." He looked at his watch, "Where is he?" He mumbled.
"Who?" Y/n asked as she arched a brow.
On cue, the doorbell rang and Zabuza walked to open it. Kisame looked at Y/n and she shrugged again. Kisame sat back down and Y/n talked about Kikyo coming home from school and what they'd have for dinner. The two voices, one being Zabuza, hit her ears and she paled, making Kisame look over his shoulder.
"What kind of a plan?" The older male stopped at the doorway and his eyes held Y/n's. He saw the panic in her eyes and she shot up from the couch.
"What is he doing here?" Anger fueled her and the tears prickled her eyes. "I don't want him involved." Her voice was eerily steady.
Jirayia could typically read the woman better than anyone, and he knew something had happened, he just couldn't figure out what. He'd never guess what the truth was because he didn't know that anyone alive knew the truth. Perhaps we need to back up to the night Madara broke the news to Y/n once again.
"What?" Did she speak? She must have because Madara responded.
He held her close, putting her cheek to his chest, his heartbeat steady and true, "Your father- Jirayia- has always been in law enforcement. He's always traveled the world and been a detective, a special agent, and now FBI. Your mother, Tsunade, has been in the medical field, nothing too suspicious there, but..." she couldn't take the suspense, she squeezed Madara tightly, "she was involved in some questionable dealings, with new drug development. Jirayia kept her out of trouble, but a few mob families have had it out for them for a while now."
A shaky breath left her, "How do you know this? How do I know you're not lying?"
Madara stroked her hair, "You can ask them yourself," he said plainly, "but I know because your mother, who you assumed was your mother, told me everything."
No matter how you looked at her life, it was fucked up. Before the newest revelation, it was fucked up. Now? It was beyond fucked up. What made it worse? Whatever her relationship was with Madara, however, you described it, she needed him at this moment. He held her close as she cried. He carried her to their room and held her in the bath. Then he held her in bed. She took the week to try and process everything, but seeing the man standing before her, she lost it all over again.
