"You join me for dinner on Friday night." Madara spoke, smug and sure of himself.
"You're making me go on a date with you?"
"I'm simply asking you to join me for dinner. Nothing more. Nothing less."
I was highly skeptical, but what choice did I have, I wasn't going to seduce Neji, no matter how attractive he was. "Alright."
"See, that was easy. I'll be at your penthouse at 6 on Friday night." There was a genuine smile on his face and it was a sight to see.
"Yes, Si-Madara." Madara's stern look made me correct myself.
Madara stood and again extended his hand to me, which I hesitantly accepted. "You can go." He released my hand and went to his desk.
I collected my laptop and hurried from his office. Whew, that could've been worse, could've been better, sure, but could've been worse too. Once I was in my office, I breathed a sigh of relief. I sat at my desk and focused on work, it was the best thing I could do. My mind was running wild with the what if's of the meeting I just had, plus the possible outcomes of Friday night. Before I knew it, Obito was knocking on my door.
"You ready, beautiful?" I smiled at Obito and nodded.
"Let me gather my stuff."
After I was ready to go we headed to the elevator and to the garage. Obito and I walked in silence as we reached his car and he opened my door and I got in. I glanced at Obito and a Madara's words echoed in my head over and and over.
"I don't have to be there until 7. Do you want to stop for an early dinner?" I asked.
"If you'd like." He cut his eyes to me.
"I wanted to talk to you."
"Okay." He understood the hidden meaning in my words.
Obito pulled into a parking lot for a small restaurant and parked. I grabbed Obito's hand before he could step out and reached into his pocket, pulling out his phone. He eyed me curiously as I put all three phones into the console of his car, I simply shrugged and got out of the car. Obito followed me into the restaurant and we were seated in a booth. I slid in first and yanked him in with me, earning a grunt.
"What has gotten into you?" He asked as he straightened.
"Your uncle." I whisper yelled.
"Is everything okay?"
"Let's order first." I spoke as the waitress approached.
After we ordered, Obito placed his arm on the booth behind me and focused his full attention on me. "I don't trust that your uncle doesn't have your phone, nor mine tapped."
"Your personal phone?"
"Just being safe." I shrugged.
"What makes you think he has our phones tapped?"
"Because he has videos in the pool area."
"What does- wait a second, you and Sasuke-"
"Yes. Madara knew. Not just that, he knew, details, and I doubt Sasuke or Itachi would divulge those details. Especially since Madara warned all of you to stay away from me."
"I don't even know where to start with that statement. Itachi?"
"He walked in while-"
"I get it." He snapped.
"Thank you." We both commented as our food and drink were sat down.
"You asked." I grumbled.
"Was that all?"
