Obito POV:

After Shisui and Y/n left, Madara stared at me, eyes narrowing and a scowl settling on his face. I remained standing as I held his gaze, unflinching and unintimidated. I wanted to go with them but knew that by the time he was done lecturing me about whatever it was he wanted, they'd be long gone. My body was rigid, I had hardly slept as Rin clung to me in her half-drunken stooper.

This morning I was fuming as she ranted about last night, saying she couldn't believe that bitch. I grabbed her arm and made her look at me, yelling that she wouldn't call her that again. The argument carried out into the hallway, Shisui stumbling out from his room and awkwardly following behind us. When she threw at me that she was leaving and she didn't care what I did with that whore, I lost it. I pinned her to the wall and told her she had no right, she was fucking Kakashi and me both and I knew it, that's when she slapped me.

I knew my cheek was red when I sat down, and I knew that Y/n saw it, but I didn't care. All I cared about what the emotional train wreck that was Y/n. She had a bland expression on her face, but I could see the storm raging in her eyes. The way we could speak to each other with just a look was amazing to me. Last night, when she was on that stage, I wanted to save her, but she knew I couldn't, and her expression said it all.

Then, when I waited for her to look at me as I stood in the shadows, her face lit up just a bit when she spotted me. She had glanced back to my uncles, trying to not draw attention to her or me, and then she practically ran into my arms. I wanted nothing more than to tuck her into my arms and walk away- from it all. Every last bit of it. Damn it all, I'd throw away every penny I had to save her from this.

"Why do you torment yourself?" Madara asked, snapping me from my daze.

"What do you mean?"

"I've already told you, she is off-limits." He stood and put his hands in his pockets, "Yet, you defy me, for her."

"She was almost kidnapped last night and you manhandling her probably didn't help her forget that."

"Is that what her behavior said?"

"She looked uncomfortable," I admitted though that was putting it lightly.

"Hn." Was all I got in return. "Remember your place, son." Madara left, looking unimpressed and far from delighted as he did so.

I jabbed a hand through my raven-colored hair and sighed as I exited the dining room. I went to my rooms and packed my bag, wanting to get out of the mansion as quickly as possible, hoping to find Shishi and Y/n. It was strange seeing her car parked in the driveway here, something I didn't want to get used to at all.

At the penthouse, I unpacked before showering. If she went to Naruto's first, I'd imagine she would be coming here afterward. She and Shisui should arrive soon, so I made sure to shower quickly. After dressing in jeans and a t-shirt, tossing a sweatshirt over it, I sat on the couch. I texted Shisui, asking where they were, but he hasn't answered yet. I was starting to worry, as well as becoming impatient as I sat not watching the TV I had turned on.

"Screw this," I grumbled and stood up. I grabbed my keys and walked to Y/n's door and knocked. I heard paws click across the floor, so I knew Rogue was home, but where was Y/n? And where was Shisui? I tried his door next, but I was met with silence. In a huff, I made my way to the parking garage, seeing Shisui's truck was still gone. There were a few places I could check, so I decided to start with her brother's place first.

There were a couple of extra cars in his driveway, but Shisui's truck as not one of them. Next stop, Kakashi's place. The truck wasn't there either, and I debated knocking on his door, she could be inside, Shisui dropping her off. Or maybe he's talked to her today. After a few minutes, I decided against it and drove off. I drove passed the precinct and Uchiha Corp, on the off chance they went there. Nothing. I was running out of options. There was one place they could be, but I wasn't sure if Shisui would take her there or not.
