I pulled into the parking lot and noticed Kiba's car was already there, so I parked next to him. Kiba stepped out of his car when I did and his toothy grin made me smile wider. We met in front of the cars and he gave me a hug and a quick peck on the lips.
"It seems like its been forever since I've seen you." Kiba mentioned as we walked inside.
"It has been an entire week." I joked.
"I can't enjoy spending time with you?" Kiba pouted.
"Oh hush."
Kiba lead us into one of the suites, glass doors separating the occupants from the others in the range. Being a Sunday, they open at noon, so we were the first ones in. Kiba being a cop, we walk in and get our choice of suites.
"You want to talk for a bit? Or you ready to shoot?" Kiba asked, setting his gun on the ledge.
"Can we shoot first? It's been a long week."
"Whatever you want, baby."
Baby. All these pet names. "You're so sweet, Kib."
"Only for you." He winked, making me roll my eyes.
We loaded our guns and put on ear protectors. Kiba knew I could shoot, but he's never seen me do it before. We both made ready before emptying the 15 rounds into the target. We took off the ear covers and pushed the buttons for our targets to move closer.
"Who taught you to shoot?" Kiba asked, surprised.
5 in the head, 5 in the heart and 5 in the center of the target. "Well, my uncle first. Then my ex. Then Naruto, but I knew how to shoot before that." I glanced at Kiba, "Don't look so surprised."
"It's impressive. And hot." Kiba's target was almost exactly the same as mine. "Your ex. Not Ry?"
"No. Before him." Kiba knew about Ry, but not the details, just that he hit me and cheated on me. That was it.
"Who was he?"
I couldn't help but laugh at the irony, "An idiot that broke my heart."
"He has to be an idiot to break up with you."
"What's with all the charming and flirting?"
"It's true." He shrugged, "You're the perfect woman." There's that phrase again. "You're beautiful, independent, strong willed, hard worker. I'm an idiot for not realizing it sooner."
I actually blushed slightly hearing his words, "Kiba, you're no idiot. But don't get hung up on me, I'm nothing but trouble." I joked.
"Too late." How words caught me off guard. To emphasize his point, he leaned in and kissed me.
Kiba pulled away smiling, adding a kiss to my forehead. "Kiba-"
"I should never have tried to get back with Ino. I might've been able to snag you away from those Uchiha bastards then."
I laughed lightly at hearing his words, "What are you talking about?"
"How about a little wager?" Kiba smirked, changing the subject.
"What kind of wager?"
"Best shot wins."
I glanced at our targets. "Who gets to be the judge?"
"You don't even know the bet."
"Okay, what's the bet?"
"I win, we go on another date, my choice." I arched a brow, "You win, I'll leave you alone."
