"Gorgeous, I know what you're doing." Shisui's tone was chiding, scolding even.
"I have no idea what you're talking about."
"Playing dumb doesn't suit you."
"I'm doing what I think is right."
"By pushing Obito away and into that horrid woman's arms?"
"I can't do anything else, Shi. Madara will destroy anything and anyone in his path."
"So you'll play into his hands?" He scoffed.
"Just trust me. I know what I'm doing." I tried to sound confident.
"Do you?" I guess I didn't.
"Yes, Shisui."
Shisui parked next to my car and I moved to get out, but Shisui's next words had me tumbling out of the truck. "Will you at least tell him you're in love with him?"
My ass sat firmly planted on the step bar of his truck while he laughed at my misfortune. I heard him close his door and the next thing I knew he was in front of me, still laughing. "What are you going on about?"
"Like I said, playing dumb doesn't suit you." He repeated his earlier words and pulled me upright. "You sure about this?"
"If I see no way out, I'll go to Zabuza." All Shisui did was nod and then lead me inside.
As we walked upstairs, he told me about the rooms that were up there. The east wing was indeed the guest rooms, while the west wing was the family wing. Makoto and Fugaku had a set of rooms like the ones I was in the night before, a parlor and a large bathroom. The boys, all had a bedroom, large enough for a sitting area, and a bathroom and closet. Madara had his own wing, two sets of rooms, one which Izuna often used, as well as a billiard room, his office, and a media room.
"I'll take her to Master Madara from here, Master Shisui." Koshi spotted us turning down the north wing.
"I don't min-"
"It's okay, Shi." I gave him a kiss on his cheek and followed behind Kohsi. "I'll see you in the morning." I offered over my shoulder.
"Okay, gorgeous." Shisui looked on as we vanished into the billiard-room.
"Master Madara will be here momentarily." With that, Koshi left me in the room alone.
The room was dark in color and furnishings, very speakeasy feeling to me. Velvet drapes, the color of crimson, lined the windows. The pool table was felted in the same red, a dark chestnut wood its accent. The man seemed to like oversized chairs, there were six, three on either side of a chestnut-colored coffee table. A bar, the same dark wood color, with four barstools sat to one side, that was my destination.
The bar, as well as other pieces of furniture, held the Uchiha crest embellished into its surface. I was waiting for the man to tattoo it on me at this rate. A plan began forming in my head as I eyed the whiskey bottles. I picked up my favorite one and took a whiskey glass into my hand. Of course, there was an ice machine, so I took a few cubes and dropped them into the glass, then poured a hefty amount for myself. The cold whiskey still burned my throat, and I felt the warm blanket soothe me.
The door opened to the billiard room and I took a deep breath in, trying to calm my nerves. Another swig of the whiskey and I felt a little calmer. Madara's steps we're heavy and intimidating as he approached me. I waited until I could feel the heat from his body before I spoke.
"Ms. Scarlet, in the billiard room, with the whiskey bottle. A little game of clue never hurt, " I turned to face him, "did it?" I asked innocently before taking another sip.
