I felt someone stroking my hair and stirred slightly before I buried my face into my pillow, groaning. I knew it was Obito and I knew I needed to get up, but I didn't want him to stop. Obito started caressing my back and arms before tickling at my neck. As his hand slid down my back again, I arched my back into his touch, making him press down a little harder.
"You need to get up, baby." He coaxed. Baby? He was getting more comfortable with pet names.
"I don't want to go to work." I mumbled into the pillow.
"Want me to motivate you?" My interest was piqued, his voice husky like this in the mornings made me even more turned on.
"Hm?"
His breath was hot as he leaned in closer, "Madara won't be happy if you're late."
"Dammit." I rolled onto my side to see him smirking down at me. "Fine."
"I'll be back in a bit." I expected him to leave it at that, but instead, he gave me a long, slow kiss before getting off the bed.
I blinked as I watched the man walk out of my bedroom, underwear and sweatpants on. What just happened? He totally just treated me like we're dating. Gently waking me, a soft kiss, morning breath and all, good morning. I pulled at my hair and kicked my legs like a little kid before I finally got up to get ready. Slacks and blouse today, something comfy.
True to his word, Obito arrived just as I was finishing my make up. He seemed to be in a better mood than when we had gone to sleep, but I still wondered what the apology was for. I gathered my things and started making coffee for the both of us. In this short amount of time, he's managed to bring a couple of travel mugs to my penthouse for him. The man really was making himself a space in my life, and my home.
"Do you know what kind of car you want?" Obito asked as we headed to the parking garage.
"Yes, I was thinking of getting a Range Rover Sport."
"You can afford that?"
"That's kind of rude." I snorted as we entered the garage and headed for Obito's car.
"It's an honest question, that's an expensive car."
"I know that." He held my door open and I slid in.
"I'm sorry." Obito said as he got in the car.
"It's fine, silly."
The day was a blur, nothing eventful happening at all, which I was thankful for. Obito checked on me, Shisui brought me lunch and that was the only time I saw them. I don't think Madara was in today, and it was awfully quiet on the other side of the floor today. I was excited to go pick out my car, I felt like an adult, which was amusing. While my penthouse was part of my work contract, I had a place of my own and I was about to have a car that was all my own too.
"You ready, beautiful?" Obito was leaning on my doorframe watching me.
"Are you ever going to drop the beautiful?" I asked as I walked up to him.
"Probably not, it suits you. I actually kind of like babydoll, if I'm being honest."
I locked my office and we began walking, "I used to like it. Now it just reminds me of Kakashi. I've told Dei to stop using it, but he won't unless I tell him why."
"Hn." Touchy subject apparently.
I was a like a giddy little girl who was going to pick out her pony as Obito drove to the car lot. I was biting at the skin on my lip, a nervous habit I developed when I was a teenager. Maybe that's why I bite my lip at all, who knows. Obito pulled into the lot and I practically bolted out of the car.
