Yesterday was one of the best, most overwhelming nights I've ever had. It was just me and Veronica. Nothing else mattered. It was the closest I've ever been with her. All the secrets where outside that door, all the lies, the pain, the betrayal was left outside. It was only us, experiencing something we both needed to experience.
Both Veronica and I needed that night, especially since our love is still growing. And I want to see it grow even more.
That was until she left.
I woke up, startled by a knock and didn't see her next to me. Instead, I hear non-stop loud knocking at the door and it was some guy called Hugh and another guy, was the captain. They basically told me I needed to leave.
Apparently, Veronica left in the middle of the night and told him to wake me up at sunrise. She basically fucked me and then left me.
At least, sex workers get money after this shit. I get nothing, instead I get kicked out. Fantastic.
Now what's worst is, unfortunately, I can't remember where the harbor is located. Yesterday, I wasn't in the right state of mind to remember the directions to the ship due to being clouded with devious sexual thoughts. Now, I'm screwed.
It's almost time for Veronica to head to the ship and I can't remember where it is. I need to be there in time before something bad happens. However, I've been circling around the place without a clue.
I looked around, noticing the same tree I have passed by for the third time. I am so lost. That's just great.
I should've asked James where the harbor would be before sending him off this afternoon.
I told him earlier this morning to catch up to Veronica before she enters the ship. To protect her. Give her any excuse so that she wouldn't suspect anything. Although, I know she's smart and knows me well enough, to know I am just as stubborn as her.
"Excuse me," I stopped a woman walking by, with a basket in her hand, oranges where toppled over the other inside. "Do you know where I can find a harbor around here?" I asked, trying out my luck.
But of course, with my terrible luck, she only stared at me with wonder and confusion. I sighed; she doesn't understand a word I'm saying.
"Ships? Boats? Sea?" I kept saying random words, gesturing for a large object at first with a flag and the waves of the sea.
She blinked, mouth agape and eyebrows growing closer together. I repeated my action, seeing her eyes light up as she pointed towards the left side in the dirt road, behind all the people walking by and signaling for a right.
She explained but all I heard was rubbish since I couldn't understand a thing. I smiled at her. "Gracias!" Thanking her with a cheeky smile, I walked off to the direction she lead me to. I don't know if she really understood what I said or if she was taking me to the right spot, I just hoped I'm not too late.
In a few minutes, I managed to catch a glimpse of blue dreamy waters, among all the people I was walking by. Smiling to myself, I thanked the nice lady internally before running.
Dodging people on my way, I took the right as she instructed me to. I was in a narrow hall, between two fish markets. I had to excuse myself and give a preposterous apology to everyone I was stamping their feet on. Luckily, I saw a sign with a craving I couldn't understand but it pointed to a left. With a risk, I took it.
I ran as I saw the water a few meters in front. Fewer people where in this section as I stood in front of the sea, I was at the coast, standing just above a bridge. Looking down, Small boats where lined up and the bigger ships where far to the left. There was a group of stairs that led me down. But where was the ship?
