After Charlotte gave me the tour and after cuddling up on her bed, we decided to get up and eat some lunch with the growling of our stomachs.Unfortunately for me, there was no maids or chefs or any servants, meaning we had to cook on our own.
As much as I know how to read, write, act and dress in high mannerisms, lead and intimidate men in war, I don't know exactly how to cook. Never in my life have I touched a pan or cut fruits or potatoes, or fried eggs. Never. I have absolutely no knowledge in cooking.
It was embarrassing to admit it to Charlotte but she took it very well and decided to teach me. Now, my pride despised the idea but my mind realized it would be immature not to learn something new. I'm a queen but I'm not prefect human being.
So we decided with some onions, tomatoes and potatoes. Charlotte showed me easy techniques to cut and fry them. Of course, we were a mess with the onions and bursting in tears.
My eyes were burning and welling up with tears none stop but unlike Charlotte, she was hysterical and on the floor bawling her eyes out. Can she be anymore dramatic? I thought she was the expert here but apparently not; she wasn't good with cooking either.
After a minute or so, she got fed up and brought some goggles and showed me how to put it on.
Goggles.... apparently they are for swimming under water but you can use them if you want to cut onions.
Quite frankly, that's genius.
In the end, we were both sitting at the counter, eating raw fish. For our unlucky fate, Charlotte doesn't know precisely if the fish was cooked well, or under-cooked or overcooked. I know, what an idiot. At least, my idiot. So we were left eating a tasteless meal. Well, the sauce actually tasted like onions but it wasn't bad.
I had a good time though and I enjoyed the moments we spent together, even after it ended with a mess in the kitchen.
"What do you say we go and take a shower?" Charlotte spoke, sitting on the counter, opposite from me.
I looked up at her and hastily nodded my head, pushing my unfinished plate away from me. "That would be great. I definitely need one, especially now." Charlotte chuckled and grabbed my hand to lead us upstairs.
In her room, Charlotte handed me a towel, some clothes; pants and a baggy shirt with some underwear. She said it was all hers but the undies were new; she never used them.
We went to her bathroom and it was a lot better than the one I had in my room. "It's really nice in here." I admitted out loud as Charlotte turned to me with a side smile.
"I'm glad you like it. I want to remodel it though; I would like some changes around." I nodded my head, fully understand because the bathroom had a lot of empty spaces that were big enough to fill.
We were both standing at the bathtub and stripping out of our clothes while my eyes wandered till it noticed the thing, hanging on the wall. Charlotte was next to me and caught my frowning and looked back to where I was looking.
''That is the shower head. Here, I will show you.'' She lifted up her sleeves, turning the facet on the wall on. Water started coming out from the shower head on top and poured down like a waterfall.
I gasped in amazement and smiled, not believing my eyes. I remember a time in my life when I was younger, I always wanted to swim under the waterfall, that was just beside the church. It was always relaxing to see but I never done it due to the rules placed in the castle.
Plus now, that waterfall brought me memories of the time my daughter got hurt so I despised it with everything in me.
However, looking back at the shower head, it didn't remind me of those times. In fact, I was intrigued to step in.
