I heard a knock at my door and saw a woman, sticking her head in. ''May I come in?'' She asked and smiled shyly, allowing me to see her dimples.

I didn't say anything because I was still not used to the environment around me. Everything looks so different from what I know; lights were coming out of these odd looking objects on the ceiling. Some sound-making boxes were around me, with things attached to my arms. The room was so pale white, I've never seen something like this before.

I was uncomfortable, intimidated and felt out of place.

The woman walked in after my hesitation and unwillingness to answer. ''I know this is overwhelming to you. I don't blame you.'' She came and sat in the empty chair beside me. I refused to look at her.

Most luckily, Charlotte is the one who sent her and I won't give her any satisfaction of thinking I even want to associate with anybody with her. They all planned this. She was never alone and they all decide to bring me here.

Against my wishes and will.

''Are you okay?'' The woman asked but yet again, I refused to answer. I kept my head down and turned away. ''My name is Olivia. I am Charlotte's friend and partner.'' I hastily brought my head up, my heart jumping with the word 'partner' as it came out of her mouth.

I raised my eyebrow questionably, feeling  a bit paranoid and glared at the woman in front of me. She noticed my reaction and chuckled before raising her hands up in surrender. ''Not in that way.'' She said which immediately calmed down and I couldn't help but feel embarrassed.

''We work together. We built the time machine and I'm sorry about all this.'' She paused. ''It was never the original plan really. This was all kind of improvised, I guess you could say.'' I eyed the girl for a little while, studying her. Her dark shinny black hair, her hazel eyes which looked alluring behind the glasses she wore and her cheeks were plumped and rounded, and her dimples were slight the catch.

A beautiful woman indeed.

''I want to go home. I told Charlotte about that.'' I saw her sigh with my words but nevertheless, nodded her head. ''We are working on that, don't worry.'' She spoke without looking into my eyes and as a queen, I know when someone is lying.

And she is lying.

''I've been here for two days. Actually three, considering the time I slept. When am I going home?'' I choose to not address the lie due to the woman looking terrified of me.

She smiled up at me, her eyes showing sadness and empathy which I didn't like. ''I am not sure. However, you will go home. That is for sure but when, is a hard thing to predict right now.''

''What do you mean?'' I asked her which she bit her bottom lip, hesitating. ''How long will I be staying?'' I couldn't help but hear my voice rising and my tone getting sharper.

I stared at the girl hard as she fidgeted in her seat, intimidated by me. It is nice to see the effect I still have with my demeanor and the dominance I can preserve wherever I would be. However, I would much prefer being back with my people and family.

''We are having some problems with the machine.'' She revealed which made my heart sink.

''What problems?'' I asked spitefully, feeling my temper rising. I couldn't help the anger I was feeling all time. I felt betrayed, unheard and lost. For the first time in my life, I was not in control of the situation and that terrified me.

All because of Charlotte.

As much as I love her, she did something I find it hard to forgive her for.  Unless she takes me back home, I don't think I can forgive her for what she's done right now.
