「Act 21: The The Hidden Truths

------------------------------------------

I walk a lonely road

The only one that I have ever known

Don't know where it goes

But it's only me, and I walk alone

My shadow's the only one that walks beside me

My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating

Sometimes I wish someone out there would find me...

Jakku, 36 ABY

In the cockpit, Poe was hitting one control after another, bringing the Falcon back online. It was already dawn, and the group of three men inside the Falcon was ready to depart for Jakku. Poe turned on the engines, and with each green telltale that lit up, a little of his own life did, too. He was startled when Chewbacca arrived and, without waiting, he settled down next to Poe, and Finn hit the switch and raced up the ramp. An enormous, overpowering thunder filled the cargo hangar as the Falcon's engines came to life. A second later, Falcon took off into the sky.

Poe had already informed Lando Calrissian about their departure and that the main reason they were taking this short journey was to find a new spy. Someone who could bring them all the information they needed. Of course, he didn't reveal anything about Ben Solo being alive. He left behind a very confused Lando: who could be that capable of sneaking into the Analyzer? The Analyzer was the First Order's main spaceship; it held information of all the remaining fleets of the First Order. Poe believed, though, that it might also keep hidden Sith's secrets.

Back in Jakku, it was already noon when Ben had awoken. The tears flowed unchecked down his cheeks and dripped from his chin. He was too sad to cry out or wail; he just stood there as still as a statue while the magnitude of his dream swept over him. He dreamed of Rey, she was around five years old, and her parents left her in a forsaken desert. The dream was so vivid, reminding him of Rey's memories. However, it was not what upset him. The dream continued with young Rey suddenly changing to the current one. Only that Rey seemed so much different.

Her eye and hair color was darker, and she was wearing a Sith Cloak. That Rey gazed at Ben and smirked mischievously, slowly leaning against his ear and whispering, "You're too late. She is mine now!" The voice echoed into his head as Ben woke up, and his nightmare weighed heavily. His shoulders were slumped and his eyes cast down with a mournful gaze. His mouth was set in a semi-pout. He ran his fingers over his face trying to wash the nightmare on his mind.

A year ago, when he was Kylo Ren, a dream like this would irritate him, even make him angry. At that moment, that flash of anger could protect him from the pain. But not today, he would try to summon his strength and stand on his feet. The injuries in his back were still killing him, and it took him a lot of his will to manage to stand and walk. He was already late to start scavenging. No rest for the weak. He thought as he was getting ready to leave.
