Kairi and I were having our 5th fight this week. I hate fighting with him, but I can't help when he's yelling at me. "You won't listen to me!" He yelled. I don't give remember why we were fighting. "Okay, enough. Enough of this and enough of that. This isn't working." I say. "What do you mean? What isn't working?" He asked. "This fighting. Can't we be mature enough to talk like adults that we are instead of yelling at each other like 5 year olds?" I say. He took a deep breath in and out. "Okay, I'm calm." He says. "Come sit." He said patting the cushion next to him.

"Why were we fighting?" I ask. "I lost count and reasons since the first fight this week." He answered. "Kairi, i think we need a break." I whisper. "I think I agree." He answered back. "I can't love you anymore. I can't. I don't know why but I don't feel it anymore." He said as a tear slipped out of his eye. "Maybe after this break, however long it is. We could come back and maybe the spark is there." I say. "I'm gonna miss you." He says. "Yeah, me too." We looked at each other and hugged, not caring how long is was. It was going to be the last time in a long time, I'll feel his warmth. He pulled me into a kiss, sharing all the love that was left. "Why can't you love me?" I ask with tearing spilling. "I can't." He said.

"I'm sorry." He said. "I'm sorry too." I say.

That was 5 months ago.
Me and kairi kept in touch but we didn't talk as much. He hasn't been in a relationship yet, neither have I. I've been waiting for kairi. I woke up and I heard my phone ding.

kairi cosentino: hey, wanna go on a date tonight?

y/n: sure, what time?

kairi cosentino: 8pm and wear something fancy.

y/n: got it :)

kairi cosentino: see you tonight :)❤️.

y/n: ❤️❤️.

I've been waiting so long to hear him say that. It was 7 so I decided to get ready now.

I wore a black dress with a slit

With black heels and a matching makeup look.

I curled my hair and I got a text from kairi saying he was here. I took a deep breath while putting on my necklace he gave me and my rings. I flatten my dress out and grabbed my purse. I walked out and see kairi standing there in all black and a black bow tie.

"Wow, you look great." He said. "Thank you kairi, you look great as well." I blush. He opened the car door and held his hand out. I grabbed it and he helped me in. "Thank you." I smile. He smiled back and went to his of the car. "Where are we going?" I ask. "It's a surprise." He smiled. "Great." I say. We drove in a comfortable silence, with music playing lowly in the background. My hand was on the arm rest and I felt his hand slowly on top of mine. I smile softly and connected our hands together. I saw him smile.

"We're here." He said. I look at see it was restaurant we went to on our first date. "This is sweet kai." I smile. "You remember?" He asked. "Our first date." I smile. He nodded his head and got out of the car. He opened my door and held his hand out again. I laugh and took his hand. "Thank you." I say. We walk in and the man looked at. "Reservation for Cosentino." Kairi said. The man nodded his hand and lead us to the table. We sat down and started talking. "I hope you like it." Kairi said. "I love it kai, thank you for bring me." I smile. "I'm sorry for how we ended. I didn't mean for it to end like that." He frowns. "It's okay kai, I can't force you to love me if you don't." I say.

"That's the thing, I think I want to try us again." He said. I looked at him and took a deep breath. "You don't have to kairi." I say. "But I want to. I want to try us again. I couldn't really sleep for those 5 months since I didn't have you. I really sorry for treating you like shit when I was the shit boyfriend. If you're not ready to give us a second chance, I understand." He said. "No, kairi. I want to try again. You weren't a shit boyfriend, you were perfect. I couldn't do anything without you for 5 months so I want to try again." I say. "Y/n, will you be my girlfriend again?" Kairi said. "Yes, i would love to kairi." I smile.

The waiter brought us our wine and we smile. "Here's to a second 1st date and second chance." I said. "Cheers." We spent our night being happy and laughing with each other.
