"Okay, everyone the play is in 2 days!" Our theater teacher told us. "It has to be perfect." She smiles. Our play was, none other than, Tim Burton's Corpse Bride. It's our competition play that we do, but last year it was Cinderella.

We won, like we always do, but we needed something different. I suggested we do a Tim Burton film, everyone agreed and asked which movie. Corpse Bride was the only one that was close to a real life so we went with that.

Many people chose me to be the corpse bride, since my voice was very soft but not too soft like Victoria's in the movie. Mattia was casted as victor, and (random name) was casted as Victoria.

"This is going to be interesting." Mattia spoke to me. He kissed my cheek and went to rehearse his lines with one of the boys.

Mattia and I were dating, but it didn't bother me that someone else played victor's love interest. It's a play, not real life.

(Random name) was his ex girlfriend in freshmen year, mattia is way over her since it's already our senior year. It did hurt when she got to play the love interest, but I didn't care after Mattia assured me that it was nothing.

"Ready to rehearse?" I look up and it was kairi. Alejandro was helping Mattia with his lines.
"Uh, yeah." I say. We walked to the chairs and sat down.

"I need to rehearse the argument scene." I told him. He nods his head and goes to that page, "Sorry, I'm not an actor." I smile.

"But we're just too different. I mean, you're dead."

"You should've thought about that before you asked me to marry you."

"Why can't you understand? It was a mistake! I would never marry you." I stared at him for a while, like I was supposed to.

"And scene!" Kairi clapped. "That was great. Really felt like you were getting your heart broken." I smile at him, "Thank you, kairi."

"Now, for the other scene. The marriage scene." I tell him.

He goes to the very last page. "Ready?" I ask. He nods his head.

"For I will...

For I will..." I paused in between.

"Your cup... will never empty... for I will..." I kept looking back as if someone was behind him. "I will be your wine."

"I can't." I say.

"Whats wrong?" He says back.

"This is very wrong... I was bride... My dreams were taken from me. Well, now...
Now, I've stolen them from someone else," I paused and placed a hand on kairi's face, like the stage directions say, "I love you, Victor. But you're not mine." I fake tear slipped out of my eye. "Oh my gosh! That was amazing!" Kairi says.

"Now, after the fight scene." I say.

"Wait," he says and looks at me, "I made a promise."

"You kept your promise. You set me free. Now, I can do the same for you." I say.

"Good job." I tell kairi. "Please, I'm not that good." I rolled my eyes, "If that were true, you wouldn't be playing the arch nemesis."

"Touché, my dear." He mocks from the play.

I look over and see mattia going over his lines with (random name). He looks at me and looks back at her. "Hey, we're going to be late for class. Come on." Kairi pulls me away. I nod my head.
