The chilly January month dwindled away like an east wind.

Life had fallen into place with normalcy. Yes, it had become normal for Reid and Kerry to spend most of their time locked away behind some sort of closed door. Car door, bathroom door, closet door, and today it was Reids bedroom door. The door itself was probably locked, but the walls were thin.

Josh scoffed as he sat with Chrisy on the sofa trying to watch TV.
The more he tried to ignore the faint sounds coming from Reid's room, the more he heard them.

They both heard.

He turned the volume up without saying a word. Then he turned the television off.

"This isn't working...let's just go out back. We have lots of space we never use let's use it today."

He grabbed two cushions from the carpet and Chrisy grabbed the throw.

Fresh crisp air greeted their skin as they stepped out onto the back porch.  The smell of grass and day lilies and somebodies dinner floated  towards them on the evening breeze.

Chrisy spread the throw on the recently groomed grass in the spacious California backyard close to the large Oak tree.

They lay down next to each other and searched the cloudless sky.

"This is so much better, uninterrupted. Hear that? Nothing except for the birds and the wind,"

"I know, but you can't blame them for having a good time..."

"I dont, but can't they have fun quietly...they're like rabbits."

"Josh..." she giggled and poked him in the side with her elbow. "...behave,"

"Yeah yeah..."he sang in reply.

There was a small gap of silence. Then in a low timid voice Chrisy asked him.

"Do you ever...think of me and you like that?"

"Like what?" he asked without looking over at her.

"Ya' know..."

"Nope, I dont know..."

"Josh..."

"Oh, you mean like rabbits? Off course, all the time,"

"And?"

"And I'm ready when your ready..."

"How do you know I'm not ready right now?"

"I just do..."

"I.."

"Its fine. Don't worry about it. Im patient."

"How long does your patience go though..."

"Why are you worried? I'll wait for you however long I have to. I like to spend moments like this with you..." he said.
He slid his hands into hers. "...I like just being with you, getting to know what you think, what's in that brain of yours that make your head so big...yah know that sort of stuff..." she laughed.

Their conversation continued to subject after subject and he made her laugh histerically over and over. Then he made her blush, then made her heart skip then made her laugh again.

But Chrisy's insecurities would not let up. Even after what Josh had promised her.

Sharky's roared with laughter and excitement after the friday night game. Josh was the man of the moment after scoring the winning goal and taking the team to victory.

Guys showed their appreciation with fist bumps and the girls, well they were another story.

As Josh and Reid sat at the booth waiting for their  girlfriends, Riso came.
