Horace hung up.

Josh froze with the phone to his ear for a good five seconds. The conversation could not have been real. He thought. He rested his phone down on the table. The pain in his temple intensified. Tiny beads of sweat formed on his forhead. He ran his hands through his hair in confusion and cursed. He spun around to see Reid in the doorway staring at him.

"What the frack Is going on with you?" Reid asked, recognizing panick and agony in his features.

"How long have you been there?"

"Long enough to know something's terribly wrong."

"I messed up Reid, big time."

Josh began a slow pace.

"Is it Chrisy? Did you guys break up?"

"No...I dont know...I...I can't see her...or call..."
He could hardly speak. His words stammered out but they were barely there.

"You're not making any sense. Will you stop pacing." Reid said furrowing his brows.

Josh stopped in his tracks.

"I messed up." He repeated.

"It can't be that bad. I'm sure we can fix it." Reid recognized the fear Josh exuded.

"We cant..."

"What did you do?"

"Horace walked in on us,"

"Doing what?" Reid asked nervously.

"Making out...he wasn't suppose to be there,"

"Well...he has to know you do that sometimes.  She's your girlfriend."

"We were in his office, she was untop of me, my shirt was on the floor, and my hands were up her blouse."

"Have you lost your mind...you were just gonna have sex with his daughter on his sofa?"

"No! I dont know..." he said remembering how intense things had gotten between them."...No we wouldn't have, I dont think..."

Reid stared wide eyed.

"This isn't happening, this sounds like something I would do, you're never this careless, what were you thinking?"

"I couldn't ..."

Reid didnt give Josh a chance to finish. Anxiety flung him in a frantic jitter.

"What did Horace say? Is he even going to help us now?"

Josh shook his head from side to side and Reid saw everything they had planned crumble infront of him.

"Oh frack, what are we going to do?"

Now he started pacing.

Josh sat in silence until Reid stopped pacing and sat on the chair opposite him.

"Okay, let's not panick, we can get another lawyer," he began.

"We don't have the money," Josh reminded him.

They both sat in silence a while longer.

"I know there's probably nothing I can say but I'm sorry," Josh finally said.

"Just stop feeling sorry for yourself, it could've happened to any one of us. We need a plan. There has to be something we can do."

They sat in silence for almost two more minutes.

Josh's phone interrupted the silence.

"Hello..." he answered.

"Hi Josh. It,s  Kat.... Red hair and green eyes, intern from the immigrations office, you remember me right?"
