Josh and Chrisy hadnt heard from Reid and Kerry since lunch...Since they had left to find aunt T.

Except for a single text Josh had received from his brother.

"We got held up," was all it had said.

Horace was at the Court House and Chrisy decided to spend the evening with Josh until the time approached for her father to come home.

Josh sat in front of the laptop typing away. And Chrisy wheeled a second chair right next to him. She studied every inch of him as he stared into the screen.
'How could one persons skin be so smooth, so flawless.' She thought to herself  'And his eyes, so chocolatey dark, his lashes so long, nose so straight and lips, so deliciously pink'. She got lost in her thoughts.

"What...? Josh finally asked her.

"Huh...?"

"I can feel your eyes burning into my skin....like lazer beems...just searing the flesh of my face.. " he said without a glance at her.

Chrisy's skin instantly turned pink.

"I wasn't..."

"Don't deny it...your caught..."

She only pulled up closer to him. She tucked his thick black hair behind his ear.

"You smell good..." she whispered.

Josh chuckled at her words and at the way she actually sniffed him one more time. She filled her nostrils with his masculine aroma.

"You smell really... really good..."

"What's gotten into you..." he asked with a smirk while he continued typing away on the keyboard.

"Nothing...I just..." she stopped speaking. She traced her tiny fingers along his earlobe.

"C.J?"

"Huh?"

"What are you doing?" he inhaled deeply at her cotton like touches.

"What are you doing?" she retorted. She viewed the dark screen that he typed letters and numbers into at lightening speed. "...That's not homework...?"

She traced her fingers along the side of his neck, slowly, then she ran them up and down the same area, again and again .

"C.J...!" he burst out into a chuckle he was holding back for the longest time.
"...what are you doing?"

"I'm trying to get your attention...Is it working?"

He turned to her and smiled.

"What do you need it for ?" He asked her with a mischievous grin. She bit her lips in and blinked shyly. Then giggled playfully as he pulled her closer to him, then onto his lap. The chocolate eyes that she earlier admired gazed into hers now, so seductively, but playful and gentle.

She smoothed his hair back then kissed him on the cheek. Her lips caressed his skin knibbling his neck, teasing him. She caught his earlobes between her lips.

His breath caught. He could not comprehend the feelings she gave to him. Her small petite hands made her touches so soft and delicate.

"You're treading dangerous waters..."

"I live for danger..." She replied.

He hungrily crashed his lips into hers. Excitment from her response boiled the blood coursing through his veins because she actually welcomed his advances. His hands circled her waist and she pulled his face into hers.

He tasted like happiness. Pure and simple. She had thought.

Josh was happy.

His mother's incessant calling and Horace pressuring him to make it stop was not enough to dampen his spirits. Nothing could compare to the moments he spent in Chrisy's embrace, or basking in the sunlight of her smile, or breathing in that rare air that was only present when she was around. The rare air they both shared.

He stopped kissing her.

"Kisses like this burn the dinner..." he reminded her "I'll be right back..."

Chrisy reluctantly slid back into her own chair, watching every rhythm that his built muscles made as he swayed into the kitchen.

She eagerly awaited his return.

A call was coming in on his laptop screen. There was no picture but there was a name.

It said "Mother".

Chrisy took a deep breath.

This was her window, she mused.

She had her chance to now confirm her suspicions or dismiss them for exactly what they were, a fragment of her imagination.

She didn't want to upset Josh. She surely didn't want to be rude. But it was his mother.
Why would he be mad?

She answered the call.
