Chapter 55

I woke up before Sarah did, our skin was stuck together under the covers presumably from sweating all night. I smiled and kissed her bare shoulder before I crawled out of bed. I threw some clothes on and made my way down the stairs, I decided to make a big breakfast for the two of us. 
I made cheesy omelettes, hash browns, bacon, sausage, and toast. 
"Good morning" she mumbled, I looked over at her and smiled. Her hair was knotted, she had drool dried on her face, pillow imprints on her skin, and she was only wearing an oversized shirt. 
She looked beautiful. 
"Good morning baby" I handed her a cup of coffee the way she likes it and she smiled, I kissed her cheek before she sat down at the table 
"What is all of this for?"
"To say I love you" 
She blushed again 
"You're spoiling me" 
"I know" I smiled and sat across from her at the table 
"So what do you have planned for today then Mr Park?" She asked as she bit into her food 
"I honestly have no idea" I chuckled making her giggle 
"Hmm…" she sat back in her chair with her coffee and thought about it "the beach?"
"Really?" I smiled and my eyes widened 
"Yeah, why not? Sand, sun, water, we'll pack some wine coolers and snacks" 
"That sounds amazing" I smiled 
"Perfect!" She bounced a little in her seat. After we were done eating we got changed into our bathing suits and packed a cooler with ice, food, snacks, water, and wine coolers. I texted Jin to let him know our plans for the day and to see how Jax was doing, he assured me everything was fine and told me to have fun. We let Rupert out for a bit and then brought him in before we got in the car. 
"Ready my love?" I asked as I put my sunglasses on
"Yessss!" She raised her fist in the air and put her sunglasses on too making me laugh as we started driving. I held her hand in my lap the whole drive to the beach, we had the music blasting as we sang along and danced in our seats
"We're finally here!" She announced as we put the car in park and unloaded the trunk, we walked onto the sand and set up our little spot with a blanket and an umbrella, we sat down on the sheet and drank a wine cooler before going out into the water. She squealed 
"It's so cold!" She jumped as a little wave that barely reached her belly button came at us, I laughed as we made our way further into the water. When we couldn't reach the bottom anymore I swam under the wave completely drenching myself in the salt water, I came up and Sarah was laughing while holding her sunglasses on her face "I should have left these on the sheet!" She announced making me laugh 
"Should I put them in my pocket?"
"Yes please" she smiled and handed them to me, I zipped them into the pocket of my swim trunks. 
We were splashing each other and jumping into the waves while the sun beat down on us, we held hands and dove under a giant wave letting it push us towards the shore, we picked the best day to come to the beach. It was crowded but not over crowded, and the sun was high and bright with no clouds whatsoever. I smiled as we walked back to the sheet, I handed her a towel and we dried off before sitting back down. I kept staring at her in her black one piece bathing suit that had a skirt attached to it that covered her thighs. I know she gets self conscious about the scars on her thighs, but I think her legs are perfect the way they are. 
"Stop staring, you pervert" she laughed making me laugh and throw my head back 
"I can't help it!" I defended 
"Mhmm" she smiled and handed me another wine cooler, we ate our sandwiches and laid down on the sheet 
"That breeze feels amazing" she moaned making me smile 
"Yeah it does" I reached over and intertwined our fingers as we laid there together.
"I'm gonna get back in the water, are you coming with?"
"I'll come in a minute, I'm going to finish my drink first and maybe eat another sandwich" I smiled up at her admiring how her skin looked in the sunlight against the black material of her bathing suit.
"Okay" she nodded and leaned down pecking my lips before she went back to the water. I smiled as I watched her in her own little world. The water has always been her source of comfort and peace, I think that's another reason why she loves sea turtles so much. 
"Excuse me?" A voice pulled me out of my thoughts while I was gazing at my wife, I looked over and saw a girl in a bikini standing next to our umbrella, I sat up completely and crossed my legs
"Yes?" 
"My friend and I were wondering if we could sit with you?" 
"Ah, actually my wife is waiting for me to get back into the water with her, sorry" I stood up 
"Oh" she pouted "sorry for bothering you then" she smiled and walked away, she sat back down with her friend and I went into the water, I wrapped my arms around Sarah from behind making her jump, I laughed 
"Come here often?" I asked making her laugh hard 
"Actually I don't, do you?"
"Not really, are you single?" 
"I am" she nodded and laughed making me throw my head back and laugh 
"Damn, I guess that means I can take you home with me then" I kissed her cheek as we stood in the water up to our waists 
"Awfully bold of you to assume I'd go home with a stranger" she giggled 
"A stranger with a big dick that can show you a good time" I nibbled her ear lobe, she laughed and playfully smacked my arm that was around her waist 
"It's probably not that big anyway" she shrugged as her face turned red
"Wanna find out?"
"Maybe" she bit her bottom lip and we both started laughing, after we played around in the water some more we got out and went back to our sheet, we sat down and opened up a couple more wine coolers, we sipped them as we watched people swimming and having fun in the sand. The girl that had approached me before walked past us with her friend and they were whispering to themselves the entire way, they kept staring at Sarah and I. Sarah hadn't been paying attention, she was preoccupied watching a few kids build a sand castle, I had only been paying attention because I wasn't sure why they were whispering and if one of them felt the need to be mean or nasty towards Sarah I would have to defend her. They both looked like the kind of girls that would be mean for no reason, they flaunt their bodies, which is nothing wrong..but then they look down on people that look different. 
But maybe I'm just over protective. 
I shouldn't judge anyone. 
Ever since the day she came to my office and my receptionist gave her a hard time, I've been weary ever since. 
She's fucking perfect, for anyone to say anything nasty towards her is disgusting, especially when she didn't even do anything wrong. 
"Babe?"
"Hmm?"
"Where did you go?" She laughed making me smile
"Sorry baby, I was just deep in thought" 
"About?" She asked as she inched closer to me
"Just what I'm gonna do to you later" I smirked, she blushed and turned red making me laugh. She smacked my chest 
"You're so dirty" 
"You love it" I cheesed
"I know" she laughed and opened up another wine cooler 
"When should we head home?"
"I don't know..did you want to walk the boardwalk?"
"We can, we can get some pizza and take some candy home or something" 
"Sounds good to me" she smiled and sipped her drink "have you checked on Jax?"
"I haven't talked to Jin hyung since before we left so it's been like six hours. I can text him now if you want?"
"Nah that's okay" she looked down and played with the bottle in her hands. I knew she was overthinking so I pulled out my phone and texted Jin, he sent me back a picture of Jax in his walker with a giant smile on his face, I showed it to Sarah and she instantly relaxed "awwww look how happy he is!" She squealed 
"I told you they would be fine" I smiled 
"I know" she smiled 
We packed up all of our stuff and walked it to the car, after we shoved everything into the trunk we decided to go to the pizza place on the board walk, Sarah sat down in a booth while I walked up to the counter and ordered us some pizza slices and a few sodas, I walked over to the booth and sat next to her
"What chya get?" 
"Two slices of mushroom for you, and two slices of pepperoni for me" I smiled and handed her the soda "and cheese fries to share" 
"God I love when you talk dirty to me in public" she joked making us both laugh, the server delivered our food to our booth and we wasted no time digging in. 
"Jax would love these cheese fries" I said as I dug into them 
"Mhmm" she agreed as she chewed her food, I licked the cheese off the corner of her lip making her blush "don't do that in public" she whisper yelled and playfully nudged me making me laugh 
"Why? They can watch" I kissed her cheek making her smile and get shy 
"Hey!" the girl in the bikini said happily as she approached our booth
"Hi" I said confusingly 
"Hey" Sarah smiled 
"So is this your wife?"
"Yes, I'm Jimin, and this is my wife Sarah" 
"My name is Soo-ra" she smiled 
"Nice to officially meet you" I smiled 
"I thought you two looked familiar, you're Park Jimin, you guys just had a baby last year right?"
"Almost a year" Sarah corrected with a smile as I felt her body tense next to mine. 
"Awww that's so cute! Anyway, I was wondering what qualifications are needed to apply for a job in your company?" 
I pulled out a business card from my wallet that didn't have my personal number on it and handed it to her "if you call the office they'll answer your questions" 
"Thank you oppa!" She squealed and ran back over to her friend 
"Um..the fuck?" Sarah asked 
"She asked me earlier if they could sit with me on our blanket but I told her you were waiting for me in the water and walked away from her" 
"Ooooh so she thinks that if she can get a job from you she can move in on man..huh?" she smiled making me laugh 
"Don't worry baby, no one can move in on your man" 
"Good, cuz I'll cut a bitch" she bit into her pizza and I laughed again 
"I know you would" I kissed her cheek 
"So oppa..instead of walking the boardwalk, how about we go home and take advantage of the empty house?" 
"Oppa? Really?" I laughed making her giggle 
"Figured I'd try it out, just this once" 
"Good, because I prefer the other names you call me" I winked trying to be sexy but she laughed 
"Like cheeseball?" She giggled making me chuckle
"Yes, like cheeseball, or asshole, or pervert" 
"Don't forget mushy mochi" she cheesed 
"How could I forget that one?" I smiled 
"In all seriousness though, I say we head home after this, if you want to" 
"I'll do whatever you want to do baby" 
She kissed my cheek and smiled 
"Take me home then stranger" she winked.
My heart started beating out of my chest as she looked into my eyes, when she gets playful like this, she's like a totally different person and I love it.
Her bad days
Her good days
I love them just the same
But when she's happy, playful, confident, or excited..
God damn.
It takes my breath away.
Her smile makes my skin tingle and my stomach do flips.
I swore to myself after our very first interaction in the parking lot of Viola's that I would spend every single day for the rest of my life making her smile.
This girl.
She is every reason I wake up every single day with a smile on my face.
I hope I'll forever do the same for her.
She deserves it.
