Chapter 50

Authors POV

Their friends left soon after the photo was taken, Jax began to get fussy so Jimin prepped him a bottle of formula and Sarah fed him. He laid next to her while she sat up feeding their new bundle of joy. 
"He's so perfect" she whispered as she kissed his head 
"Yeah he is" Jimin smiled as he stared lovingly at his wife and son. 
Neither of them had ever felt so complete. 
Nothing else mattered but them and their son. 
Once he was done feeding, Sarah put his binky back in his mouth and laid him on her chest patting his back to get him to burp, once that was done she gave him his first diaper change. 
Even that moment, for as gross as what it was, held so much love from the new parents. 
Once Jax was sound asleep Jimin put him back in his little plastic crib on wheels and laid down next to Sarah
"Babe, can you help me go to the bathroom? I need to pee and I want to take a quick shower" 
"Of course, I'll call the nurse in to take Jax and tell me how I can help you okay?"
"Thank you" she relaxed a bit as her husband took charge of everything. 
The nurse came in and explained everything to them and told Jimin where he could find the diaper like underwear Sarah would be wearing while they stayed in the hospital. She took Jax and wheeled him out of the room to put him in the nursery. 
"Ready baby?" 
"Yes please" she smiled as he helped her off of the bed, she squeezed his hands tight as all of the pressure in her lower stomach hit her like a brick, she let out a hiss but powered through as he helped her. 
"Don't look!! There's gonna be a lot of blood" 
"You're my wife, I watched them cut you in half and pull our child out of you. I'm not scared of a little blood. Just let me help you" 
She let out a small chuckle and nodded as he helped her pull down the throw away panties and sit down, he helped her clean up, and untied her gown. Once she was naked he helped her get into the shower and then took his clothes off to get in with her. 
He held her tightly while they stood under the water together, he swayed them back and forth as he hummed their song 
"My heart's a stereo" 
It made her smile and melt in his arms. He washed her hair and carefully helped her wash her body before he cleaned himself, he wrapped her in a towel and helped her dry off and get dressed. He made sure he peppered her with as many kisses as he could and reminded her every few minutes how beautiful she was and how much he loved her. Sarah couldn't help but tear up every so often at how soft her husband was and how caring he was while  making sure she was completely taken care of. 
This was true love. 
Once Sarah was back laying down in the bed the nurse came in to check on the pair, she smiled as she saw them cuddled up together in the hospital bed as Jimin was placing little kisses on Sarah's head and telling her how amazing she was. 
"Sorry, didn't mean to interrupt..Jax is awake and I wasn't sure if you wanted him in here or if you wanted me to leave him in the nursery with us" 
"Would you mind bringing him in here?" Jimin asked 
"Absolutely" she smiled and shut their door as she grabbed Jax from the nursery and wheeled him back in to his parents. 
Jimin stood up and took their crying son from the crib and handed him to Sarah before making him a bottle, Sarah changed his diaper and put him back in his onesie, she put him on her chest and patted his butt as she sang to him, Jimin handed her the bottle and laid beside her as she cradled him and fed him his bottle. 
Once Jax had fallen asleep they opted to keep his crib in the room with them and slept knowing he was only a few inches away from them at all times. The morning came with a nurse knocking on the door to take Sarah's vitals and deliver breakfast to the new parents. She checked on Jax as well before leaving the room. 
Around noon Sarah had fallen back asleep so Jimin walked Jax around the room patting his butt gently and making conversation with the baby, he stood at the window and stared down at the busy street beneath them. 
"I love you so much Jaxson. You and mommy mean everything to me..and you're so perfect" he ran his fingers over his sons cheeks as he slept. "I can't wait to see how you grow and the things you'll accomplish. Just try not to give mommy a hard time like you did in her belly" he chuckled as he touched his son's nose gently and left a lasting soft kiss on his forehead, a knock at the door made him turn around as the nurse entered, she smiled at him 
"You have more visitors" 
"You can send them in, just let them know she's sleeping please" 
"Of course" she smiled and he thanked her
In walked his parents, as well as Liz, and Jake. 
"Hey guys" he said softly with a proud smile, his mother and Liz instantly broke into tears, they were overwhelmed with the new baby. His mom hugged him and told him how much she loved him and how proud of him she was. His father hugged him and congratulated him in being a father, Liz hugged him and kissed her nephew, Jake stepped forward and hugged Jimin as tight as possible making sure to not hurt Jax in the process and thanked him for taking care of his baby girl and for gifting him the most perfect grandson in the entire world. The five of them talked and passed the baby around while Sarah slept peacefully in the hospital bed. Liz told him she would be staying at Joon-ho's for the duration of their visit so that the new parents could adjust to life at home with Jaxson, Jake was going to stay at Mr and Mrs Park's house but they both promised to be there frequently and spend time with them and Jax before they had to head home. After they stayed there for a few hours they decided to leave and settle in at home since they all rushed to the hospital straight from the airport, Jake leaned down and kissed his sleeping daughter's forehead before exiting the room. Jimin was standing at the window again holding his son tightly as Jax had his eyes open and looking around
"You have the most beautiful eyes baby boy..gosh you're just too perfect. As mommy would say, you make my heart hurt" he chuckled as he leaned down and kissed his son's tiny fingers, he started to sing to him 
"I have died everyday waiting for you, darling don't be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years..I'll love you for a thousand more.." Jax stared at his dad while he sang to him making Jimin's heart melt and beat fast
"Being a father looks so good on you" Sarah spoke with a smile as she watched her husband serenade their son. Jimin's cheeks turned pink as he looked back at her and smiled so wide his eyes disappeared. Sarah stood up slowly and hobbled her way towards her family, she wrapped her arms around Jimin and stared down at Jax with a warm smile on her face. 
"I love you both so much" Jimin said softly as he cradled his son and kissed Sarah's cheek 
"I love you both so much too" Sarah said back as she kissed Jax's temple and then Jimin's lips.
