"I'm out front." Jay's voice was heard through our radios as we each sat in our own spots, Hailey and I's being the car parked a few blocks away.

"Alright, everyone ready?" Voight asked and multiple positive responses were heard before he gave the next command, "Go in."

"Chicago PD!" Jay exclaimed, pushing the door down as Upton and I observed the scene from the body cam he wore. Ruzek and Atwater followed closely behind Jay as they cleared the house.

"All clear, boss. He got away." Adam announced as they kept searching for any evidence.

"Alright, Burgess and Atwater back the the bullpen with me. The rest of you keep searching the house for anything that would tell us where the fuck he is." Voight ordered as Upton and I jumped out of the car and headed towards the house, careful of our surroundings.

Something caught my sight a few meters away from the house. "Oh! Hails, I forgot my phone in the car!" I laughed, "Classic me!" I added, she looked at me weirdly as she turned back around and walked with me to the car. Once we were far enough, I spoke into my radio. "Halstead, Ruzek, get out of the house through the back door, now." I demanded, slightly nervous.

"What? Why?" Hailey asked, gripping my arm as I signalled her to get in the car. Once we got in, I spoke again.

"10-4, guys?" I tried again, nervously tapping my fingers against the steering wheel. I kept my sight on the person standing in front of the house with a gun in his hands as he was looking at something in the bushes. Hailey followed my sight and spotted him as well. She grabbed her gun subtly.

"Yeah, we're out. What happened?" Jay responded and I closed my eyes at the sound of his voice and tilted it back so it rested on the headrest.

Hailey took over the conversation for me, "Someone's outside with a gun and it looks like he's setting something up in the bushes. Make your way to the front of the house by the left side. We'll walk out front and try to distract him."

"Alright, we're waiting for your signal. We'll notify Voight in the meantime." Adam informed us and we got out of the car and hid our radios so he wouldn't see them after turning off the sound. Thankfully, we were dressed in plain clothes today so we only had to hide our badges and gun. Once we were both ready, we made our way to the man subtly walking on the sidewalk. We talked about different things that obviously had nothing to do with what we were currently doing.

The man spotted us once we were close enough and turned away from the bush to look at us. He seemed a little surprised, maybe even scared to see us there so we played it off instantly so we wouldn't throw him off.

"Hi! We're new to the neighborhood!" Hailey half introduced us. "My name's Kelly. That's Tracy." She pointed at me and I waved at him, smiling sweetly.

"Oh, uh, hi. I'm Dustin." That was our guy. The suspect we were looking for. Hailey hummed and smiled at him. I noticed Jay and Adam walking slowly towards us.
