The tech guy was showing us the pictures he had recovered from our suspect's computer, after he had supposedly shot himself in the head. The pictures were extremely inappropriate pictures of children. We had to examine them, trying to find where the kids might be kept. Someone had tipped us off about a human trafficking ring thing, only they used children to make pornographic films and then we had no idea where the kids were sent.

The man who had just killed himself was the man we thought was operating this whole thing, but turns out he just collected the first try outs pictures of the kids. It was disgusting nonetheless, but we would've needed him alive to give us more information.

Ruzek and Kim, awaiting their first baby, couldn't bare to look at the images so Jay, Platt and I were observing them carefully. Atwater, Lindsay - who resigned and was leaving in a week - were with Upton at the man's house searching for anything.

"This looks like a basement." I said, pointing at a picture. They made me sick. How could an adult do that to a kid?

"Yeah and is it me or does it not look the same on each pictures?" Jay replied, swiping through them.

"You're right, they don't." Platt agreed, pointing out the differences.

"Great. So we're looking at more than one suspect?" I sighed, rubbing my eyes gently and turning away so I could take a break from looking at those pictures. Jay watched me carefully before slowly - so Platt wouldn't see - resting his hand on my back, in hopes to comfort me.

We had agreed not to tell anyone about us being engaged yet. Everyone had a doubt we were back together but we decided not to talk about it yet, just so we wouldn't jinx it. Hailey was observing us very intensely for weeks, trying to find clues to throw back in my face so I would admit it. But we had been very careful. I kept my ring on a chain around my neck, hiding it under my shirts. We weren't ashamed, just not ready to say it out in the open.

I lived with Jay, of course, but I had told Hailey I was going back to my mom's house to give her back her space and I was very surprised she didn't try to catch us both at our apartment. Luckily for us she wasn't at that stage yet.

"I know you got back together, stop hiding behind my back." Platt flatly said before continuing, "Yes, we might be looking at more than one offender."

Jay and I both looked at each other in disbelief, thinking that we had been hiding this well. I guess Platt isn't someone we can hide from.

"This is a nightmare." I responded, already grabbing my phone to tell Voight our new theory.

"Mark Jennings, 53 years old, was our primary suspect before he killed himself this morning." Ruzek introduced to all of us as we were back in the bullpen to get all of the information gathered together.

"Found child pornography in his computer, pictures to be exact." Jay added.

"Those pictures seemed to be taken in like three different basements and we are pretty sure they were screenshots of videos." I informed them before continuing, "Our tech guy is still working with the Child Exploitations Investigation unit on finding out where they were taken from."

"We didn't find much at his place either. No wife, no kids, nothing hidden." Erin explained.

"We think this was just his secret twisted fetish." Hailey concluded, "Probably killed himself because he saw we were onto him and he was ashamed. Because he had nothing to hide except for all those pictures."

"Okay, so our investigation is now to find where the videos were posted from and where are those kids are. I want Upton with Halstead and Atwater with Davis. Search all the missing kids in the state from the past few weeks and try to find them in Jennings' computer. Once you're done, interview the families. Ruzek, Burgess and Lindsay, I want you to help the Child investigation unit find this website. Get to work." Voight ordered, letting us all go as he went back into his office.

We all separated into groups and got to work.

"How's my favourite homegirl doin'?" Atwater asked me, driving to the first house we were seeing this afternoon.

I chuckled, "First of all, I am honoured. Second of all, I'm great. How is my favourite Kevin?"

"First of all, that's all I am? Your favourite Kevin? That hurts, girl." He put his hand over his heart dramatically as I laughed at him, "I'm good, it's good to see you so happy. It's been a while."

"It's good to be so happy." I smiled at him, not saying more.

"That's all I'm getting? No extra information? Come on homie, for your favourite Kevin?" He begged jokingly, concentrating on the road. I really did want to tell him, I felt like it had been long enough but I'd feel like I would be betraying Jay if I didn't ask him first.

"Well, there isn't any more information to give, Kev." I chuckled, looking away, "Even if you are my favourite." I added, nodding my head in confirmation.

"Nothing at all? What about that new necklace of yours?" He asked, subtly glancing at it.

"Am I not allowed to get a necklace?" I asked, tilting my head to the side, keeping my act up but inside I was shaking in anxiety.

"You are. But it looks strangely like Jay's old one on which he used to keep his dogtag." Kevin shrugged, acting like it was no big deal, clearly playing me so I would cave in.

"He never changed that chain." I answered confidently. Jay had given me the chain I was wearing, but I knew that it wasn't one he used to have his dogtag on because he never changed it.

"Dammit." He groaned, "You're too good. I'm gonna get you to admit what it is that makes you so happy. Just wait and see." He pointed his finger accusingly at me as he parked the car on the curb.

"Yeah, yeah." I rolled my eyes, "Just let me be happy and get out of the car, cowboy." I joked at him and he chuckled.

"Copy that." He answered, getting out of the car and following me to the house.

This was going to be one long afternoon. Interviewing parents about their lost children was one of the worst part of the job. It simply felt like we were rubbing salt in the wound, hurting them even more. I hated it, but if it meant maybe bringing back a few kids - then it was worth it.
