I ran as fast as I could through the park, trying to find exactly where Yates had taken her. I got to a big tree, noticing a trail of objects. I slowed down, approaching it with my gun raised. I was ready to fire at that son of a bitch if he as much as thought about touching Amelia. The thought of it made me want to throw up. She already had gone through so much, she didn't need to be fucking taken again.

Hailey ended up joining me once she found me - just as I approached the first object. Amelia's earplugs that had been disconnected just as she said the code word. Then a little further her beanie, then her gun, her star and then the last thing I wanted to see : underwear with traces of blood on them. My breathing picked up as tears filled up my eyes. I gritted my teeth and tightened my jaw.

"Are-are they hers?" Hailey stuttered, truth was I had no idea. If only I hadn't screwed up my relationship with her, she would still be with me and I probably would've seen her get dressed this morning. Then I would've known. I heard Hailey call our location as I got out from under the tree. I tried figuring out where they had gone because to me, she had already been with him for too long.

Voight arrived with the NYC team a few minutes later, observing everything we had just found. Hailey approached me, resting her hand on my shoulder. She glanced back at Voight and once she saw that he was busy, she spoke up.

"Jay, I know this is hard but if you don't wanna lose the case you gotta hide your emotions a little, okay?" She advised and I nodded, breathing deeply to calm myself down. "I know you love her, and I promise we'll find her. She's badass, she can protect herself."

"Yeah," I nodded, unconvinced. After all, this could very well be her breaking point. She had been through a lot and this case was already hard on her and now she's stuck right in it.

Voight called up the District, ordering every patrolmen to go back in the streets and find him, as well as her. He asked the word to be spread out all over Chicago, saying that no one could take away a Chicago cop and get away with it. Once the research team arrived, we went back to the district . Voight told them to call us as soon as they analyzed the blood we found.

We arrived and saw a panicked officer speaking with Platt. When she saw us, she waved us over and told him to speak to us.

"I came back from patrol maybe ten minutes ago, Detective Davis ended me this box in a hurry." He pointed over at the white box resting on the desk. Kim, who was the closest to it, opened it and looked it over.

"How did she look?" I asked quickly, obviously extremely worried about her well-being.

"She looked uncomfortable, nervous even. I couldn't tell if she was hurt but I thought she walked funny. She had tears in her eyes and her voice was extremely shaky. I asked her if she was fine and if she needed help. She refused, panicking and begging me not to do anything." He explained, looking down at his feet once he was done. "Then, I walked in and told everything to Sergeant Platt."
