"What? No, no, no. I've got Noah over, Kev. Is he that drunk?" I spoke lowly in the phone, running my fingers through my hair. I tried not to make too much noise, I didn't want to wake Noah. Will and Nat dropped him off before going for their night shift at the hospital.
"Well, not that drunk. He can stil handle himself." Kevin answered, his voice hushed as if he didn't want someone to hear him - my guess was Jay.
"Alright, alright. Drive him home then, I'll make sure Noah's in the guest bedroom." I answered, hearing shuffling on his side of the phone.
"We'll be there soon,"
"Thanks, Kev." I thanked him before hanging up. I sighed heavily, heading to the living room where Noah was passed out on the couch. I pulled him up in my arms and carried him to the guest bedroom, trying hard not to drop him. I gently put him on the bed and carefully wrapped him under the blankets, making sure I wasn't moving him around too much.
Once I made sure he was okay, I got out of the bedroom and shut the door halfway - just so it wouldn't be too dark in the room if he woke up during the night. Then I went back to the living room, pacing behind the couch as I anxiously waited for Jay to stumble inside.
After a while, I heard a key in the lock - after a minute of struggle - then the door being pushed open. As I had thought, Jay stumbled in and almost tripped over the shoes before Kevin caught him. I rubbed my eyes at the sight, tired and worried about him.
"Alright, dawg. You're home." Kevin spoke, looking over to me to make sure I'd be okay. I watched as Jay took off his shoes, a slight smirk on his face. I nodded at Kevin, mouthing a thank you to him as he turned around and waved us goodbye. I crossed my arms over my chest and looked up at Jay who was making his way through the apartment - most probably to the bedroom.
"T'was a good night." He slurred, expecting me to follow after him - which I did. He stopped at the edge of our bed, taking off his clothes. I noticed a slight bruise on his side, like he had been hit. Bar fight?
"How's that?" I asked, crossing my arms over my stomach as I leaned against the door frame. I watched as he stumbled over to our bathroom, only stopping in front of the sink. He grabbed his toothbrush and wet it, putting toothpaste on it before starting to brush his teeth. I rolled my eyes at the fact that he completely ignored my question and turned around to go lock the door and close the lights. I left one open in the kitchen so there would be enough lights for Noah to make out where he is if he ever woke up.
I had already brushed by teeth and cleaned up for bed so I slipped under the covers, waiting for Jay. I texted Hailey, informing her that Jay had just come home drunk and that I wasn't sure he'd be in tomorrow morning. She seemed just as disappointed as I was, but he had an undercover job to do and if getting drunk meant gaining the Vega's trust, then so be it. But if it cost Jay's sanity, I wasn't here for it.
Jay stumbled in after a while, taking off his pants before slipping under the covers next to me. He smelled a lot better but the smell of alcohol and sweat lingered on him a little.
"Revisited my time in Afghanistan a little, drank to the memories." He spoke, a little clearer than before which meant he was starting to sober up. I knew the first part meant trouble, but little did I know that the second part did too.
"How'd that make you feel?" I questioned, wanting to know where his head was at.
"Good." He chuckled, pulling me closer to him. He kissed the top of my head and whispered, "Good night."
"Good night, Jay."

I walked inside the bullpen with way too many coffees in my hands. I wasn't sure how I even managed to bring them all up here without dropping one of them. I sighed as I managed to pass them to each of my colleagues, finishing up with Voight - who grabbed my arm gently as I tried to move past him.
"Jay?" He simply asked and he didn't need to add anything else.
"He'll be here later, I think he needed to sleep off the alcohol he threw up all night." I spoke in a flat tone, taking a sip of my coffee. He nodded, walking off towards his office after telling us all to fill some paperwork until he found something better for us to do.
Our main case was the Luis Vega's one right now, so until Jay told us what he found out - there wasn't much for us to do. Hours later, Jay finally walked in with a coffee in hands and sunglasses hiding his eyes from the non-present sun. No one commented when he slumped down on his chair and opened up the case file Voight left on his desk. It was Luis' case file, I knew because he gave it to us to a few minutes earlier - telling us what was coming next.
Voight handed Jay a few pills, drug of course, and tell him that's his gift for Luis tonight. We needed to move things up, we were getting behind. He needed to create a bond faster and stronger so we could keep moving forward. Drugs were Voight's way of doing it. Jay was clearly unsure, he was just looking at them in the palm of his hand - hesitating to talk.
"What if he expects me to take some as well?" Jay questioned, and I was at a loss for words. Of all the things he could have said, I did not expect that. Hailey and Burgess seemed surprised as well, so did the rest of the guys but they hid it better than us.
"You do what you gotta do. We keep it inhouse." Voight answered, patting Jay's shoulder as my eyes widened but I shook my head - trying to shake off my facial expressions.
And so Voight sends Halstead undercover and off to a bar with a few pills to pop with his new friends. Promising for a good ending for everyone.

God's pov
Halstead walked inside the bar where he knew he would find Luis and Camila - which he did once he made his way to the bar. He sat next to Luis, winking at Camila as she hands him a beer. They start talking, Camila working. The night was going slow until more and more people entered the bar. Jay and Luis eventually moved up to a couch in the back of the room, where they confided in each other about memories from war.
Jay ended up offering Luis the pills - who seemed unsure of his new friend giving them those. Halstead played it off like one of his ways to cope with the PTSD and Luis convinced him to take one with him - if he went down, so did Jay. The detective got Luis to tell him about the kidnapping crew - except he didn't exactly say it was kidnapping. Jay convinced him to get him in and after a few more drinks, he did - setting the first meeting three days later.
Camila got off work earlier and went over to both men as soon as she had the chance. The woman sat closely to Jay, who was drunk and high out of his mind by then. He let her cuddle up to his side, even going as far as throwing her legs over his lap to get closer. A few of Luis' friends had come over by then, getting his attention away from Jay. Camila grabbed Jay's attention by kissing his neck and jawline before whispering in his ear.
"Wanna go back to my place?" She asked him, pulling away so she could look at his face. Jay smirked, tilting his head to the side.
