" Here upon these stones, we will build our barricade, in the heart of the city we claim as our own! Each man to his duty and don't be afraid- wait! I will need a report on the strength of the foe-"
" Laurence! Alex!"
" I'm up, I'm up! I was totally paying the bills!"
Alex, who was eating lunch on the kitchen counter, looked up and mouthed the words 'no he wasn't' before going back to eating her egg salad sandwich, with her dog staring up at her, wanting a piece of food.
" Never mind that! We have a problem, guys."
" Uhh, yeah we do, look at the door!"
" Aside from that, I swear I'm getting help for that problem."
" It's not hard to open a door!"
" Doors just get in the way."
" Well, sweetheart," Alex spoke up," I understand you're getting better at learning to open doors, but getting in the way is slightly their job."
" Alright, look, we've got a problem... with Aphmau."
" Aphmau? We haven't had a problem with Aphmau in forever, what's up?"
Alex nodded, pushing herself off the counter and sitting on the sofa as well.
" She hired GENE to work for her in the new maid cafe."
Alex and Laurence glanced at each other in confusion."... So?"
" I got a feeling."
" Garroth?"
" I don't trust him. He's got this sneaky look about him."
Laurence sighed." Garroth I understand what you mean, but all we can do as her friends is tell her how we feel, what she does is up to her."
" But I don't want him to go trifling with her and Aaron's relationship."
" I don't think that will ever happen," Alex said softly." Neither of them would let Gene get in the way of their relationship."
" But Aaron doesn't see a problem."
" And nor should we, besides the only thing that can happen between Gene and Aphmau is they become super great friends."
"... you know what? You guys are right, maybe it's best I try to get the thought out of my mind."
" That's right, now come here and we'll all pay some bills together!'
" Oh Laurence, you just now how to cheer me up."

"...so Zane is going to be a maid for Aphmau, huh?"
" No... this brings back memories... no! No! NOoooOOOOOOoOOOOOOOOoOO!"
"... oh hey, Alex is calling," Garroth pulled out his phone as Laurence continued his yelling." Hey Lex, how'd the job interview go?"
" I think it went well, but I still have yet to know whether or not the job's mine... why's Laurence yelling so loud?"
" No clue."
