Once everyone had arrived at the restaurant they had all picked they made their way in and pushed 2 tables together to make a table enough to fit all 8 of them.

"So you have a child?" Ray asked
"yeah, she's 4, her name is actually Aaliyah too" Richard smiled
"And i am her favourite tio" Christopher said
"That's a lie, it's Zabdiel" Richard corrected "she seems to have a thing for blondes"
"she's not the only Aaliyah obsessed with Zabdiel" Aleesha said under her breath making Aaliyah kick her under the table while Ray giggled
"So what are we ordering?" Joel asked
"Ray?" Came a voice

Everyone looked towards the direction in which it came as Ray shot up from her seat to embrace the boy who had called her. She spoke to him for a minute, smiling widely as she kissed his cheek. He draped his hand over her shoulders lovingly as they made their way to the table

"Guys this is Jefnier, Jef, this is CNCO and you know the girls" Ray smiled
"Hey stranger" Aleesha smiled standing up to hug him along with Aaliyah
"I actually go by Lunay now" The boy said
"Right and i go by Beyonce now" Ray poked
"Anyways nice to meet you all, i'll see you on Tuesday" Lunay said giving Ray's forehead a kiss
"so is that your mans Ray?" Richard smirked
"if you don't shut your cheeto looking head ass up" Ray threatened

No one noticed how Erick's breathing had now become much more rigid as his jaw clenched. Ray sat herself down next to Joel who sat between her and Erick. The entire day was filled with chats and jokes as the group made their way down to the beach and played around before packing into their respective cars

Again Ray sat next to Joel who sat next to Zabdiel. Aaliyah had fallen asleep and instead of allowing her to lean her head against the cold glass window Zabdiel opted to have her head on his shoulder while he rested his a top hers. Richard drove, hand on Aleesha's thigh lovingly while Harry Styles played softly through the cars speakers.

"brown skin and lemon over ice" Joel sang
"would you believe it!" Ray added as they both continued to jam to their favourite track

Once they arrived at the girls apartment. Zabdiel scooped Aaliyah into his arms effortlessly, Aleesha showing him to her room where he put her on top of the bed and grabbed some make up wipes. Zabdiel had heard countless times from his exes how their skin breaks out if they sleep with make up on so he thought it would be wise to help Aaliyah rather than wake her and tell her.

As he gently moved the wipe across Aaliyah's cheek she subconsciously snuggled into his palm earning a smile from the gentle giant who continued to remove her make up for her. He threw the dirty ones in the bin, unknowingly kissing her forehead before closing the door and hopping down the stairs

Downstairs Aleesha and Richard sat on the couch, or rather Aleesha on Richard's lap as he played with the ends of her hair while Aleesha gushed about how happy she was that he had finally met her best friends. Ray and Joel had made their way to the kitchen where she gave him instructions about an avo face mask she tried once

"What took you so long?" Richard asked Zabdiel
"Had to take off Aaliyah's make up" he shrugged making his way past Richard to the car before further questioning
"he-
"i ship it" Ray piped up
"I bet 10 bucks they'll become a couple before Erick and Ray" Aleesha said to Richard
"nah, Erick is whipped did you see mans when Ray was talking to Christopher and not him" Richard laughed
"uh, i'm like right here" Ray waved
"okay and?" Aleesha said
"get out" Ray said to Richard
"I'll text you later, i love you" Richard said giving Aleesha a loving kiss
"okay, i think lunch is about to make a second appearance" Ray fake gagged
"Joel lets go!" Richard yelled making Joel come out of the kitchen with some avocados
"man we spoke about this! you can't go around taking avocados from peoples homes" Richard sighed
"You can have them Joelito" Ray giggled hugging the Mexican and waving the boys out

The two girls made their way to their separate rooms. Saying goodbye to each other. Aleesha immediately slipped into bed and fell asleep while Ray just couldn't get the conversation with Erick out of her head, the look in his eyes. And as if on cue her phone dinged beside her

Ray's heart ached at the words "as a friend"

Erick put his phone to his chest, a smile adorned his face as he turned on his side and closed his eyes, images of Ray's smile flashing across his mind

Down the hall Zabdiel sat scrolling through his phone trying to find Aaliyah's instagram profile which was surprisingly really hard. There were a lot of Aaliyah's in the world but none nearly as close to her. He nearly cheered out loud when he clicked on her profile, his heard jumped at the pictures, although only 12, she managed to make his heart race.

He clicked the follow button with shaky hands, locking his phone and forcing himself to go to bed before he got himself in trouble further
