Settling for a sun dress and pumps with a cute hat and little bag, Ray made her way to the door to leave only to find Ty standing there about to knock
"Oh, i didn't know you knew where i lived" Ray said puzzled "Uh yeah i asked around" He said rubbing the back of his neck "Thanks for the reminder never to bring Nancy back here or tell her anything" Ray laughed "I had to come pick you up because change of plans, we're going on a picnic" Ty smiled "Ray you left your- oh hello there papi chulo" Jamie said shoving Ray out of the way to extend a hand "Jamie" "Ty Forbes" Ty introduced "This is my annoying roommate who we're leaving here because we need to leave" Ray said grabbing her jacket from Jamie's hands
Ty opened the passenger side for Ray, letting her get in before running to his side and getting in. She drove Ray to central park where they set up their picnic which Ty had come all the way prepared for. They spoke and got to know each other a bit more
Ray learned that Ty is from Thailand, moved to New York to pursue his dream to become a surgeon. "So i have basically been on my own since i was 18" he explained "my family is all the way in Thailand" "Wow, you're pretty brave and noble for that" Ray smiled at him "I mean you too, your story is touching" Ty said mocking Ray "Oh whatever" Ray laughed shoving him slightly "I had a great day Ray" Ty smiled "I had a great day too Ty"
The two looked at each other for a moment, something looming in the air as Ty's gaze shifted between Ray's lips and her eyes. He slowly began leaning in only for Ray to put a hand to his chest
"Ty i'm engaged" She whispered "Oh? oh really?"'he questioned making Ray show her ring "i thought that was just- just there" "Yeah there to show people i belong to someone else" Ray said simply "Damn, i feel so stupid. Urgh i'm so sorry Ray" Ty rushed out "Hey, hey it's fine don't beat yourself up about it." Ray smiled "Hopefully this doesn't ruin our friendship" "Of cause, i would rather have you as a friend than nothing" Jamie smiled shoving Ray playfully making her laugh
