Ray washed her hands for the last time, taking her scrubs off and putting them in a plastic bag and then in her bag before heading out of the locker room towards the reception to sign out. She dug into her bag looking for her keys only to be startled by the random yell of "Welcome back!". When she looked up her colleges held balloons and a cake with the icing "welcome back!" in pink.

"Guys" Ray smiled
"No, we wanted to officially welcome you back Doctor Colón" Ty smiled giving her her new badge
"Congratulations on the wedding although you didn't invite some of us" Sabrina winked
"It was a destination wedding, i didn't wanna financially tie some of you to this commitment" Ray explained
"We get it, we're just happy to have you back" Ty smiled giving her a hug
"Also a huge congratulations on the success of this surgery, heard the patient is responding well" Her head doctor said to her
"Thank you" Ray said "But i have to get going"
"It's only 9:30" Ty said
"Yeah i have to facetime Erick" Ray said sympathetically "you did pull me out of breakfast abruptly"
"Right" Ty laughed "we'll save you a piece"
"Oh no, have it all. I have to fit into my bridesmaids dress anyways" Ray laughed

Ray hopped into the elevator, waving at her colleagues before pressing the button for where she had had her rental car delivered. She got into the car, signing before driving to her apartment. She parked the car and grabbed her duffel which Ty was so generous enough to put in the trunk of her car and made her way to the apartment

Upon opening the door, Ray was greeted with the sight of Jamie sitting on the counter and Kai inbetween his legs feeding him what looked like a soup.
"It's too salty" Jamie laughed
"You sure you not describing yourself?" Kai joked
"I'll beat your ass" Jamie said flicking his ear
"hey no rough housing in my apartment" Ray said grabbing their attention
"It's my apartment too" Jamie laughed hugging Ray
"Jeez i missed you so much" Ray said hugging Jamie harder
"I missed you more" Jamie smiled
"Okay my turn" Kai said
"C'mere" Ray said opening her arms for Kai
"You having dinner with us?" Jamie asked
"I wish i could but i have a husband and daughter to facetime" Ray smiled
"Oh bitch you gotta come tell me about that" Jamie yelled just as Ray walked down the hallway

She dropped her bags on the floor of her room and flopped on the bed. Grabbing her phone to see Erick had already texted her. Smiling she unlocked the phone and opened his messages

Ray's smile grew bigger as her screen lit up with Erick's name. She answered almost quickly but frowned when she saw that Erick on his own

"Where's my daughter puta!" Ray demanded
"Sleeping. crying tired her out"  Erick told her
"Crying? she wasn't crying for me was she?" Ray asked sadly
"Do you want me to be honest?" Erick asked her
"Urgh i've only had her as her offical mother for a day and i've already fucked up" Ray said pulling at her hair
"No you havn't!! stop being so hard on yourself" Erick snapped at her "she's crying because she loves you. Plus i couldn't even get her to eat, Christopher had to do it"
"Yeah we need to fix that, i refuse to have my daughter liking Christopher" Ray said "look what it did to my husband"
"Uh- i'm hurt" Erick said "anyways how did the surgery go?"
"Successful, i'm pretty tired now so i'm going to hang up" Ray said stretching
"No, let's be those cringe couples and sleep on facetime" Erick smiled
"Cringe? we did it while you were on tour!" Ray laughed
"That was rhen" Erick shrugged
"Okay well i have to change" Ray said facing her phone upwards
"C'mon now it's nothing i havn't seen" Erick literally smirked "plus we could finish what we started yesterday"
"Dirty boy, phone sex is reserved for tour only" Ray giggled

Aaliyah watched attentively as Mia opened and closed her mouth, small squeals coming out as she tried to speak to her mother or rather communicate to her something in a string of  squeals and babbles while her brother was snuggling his father's leg

"I told you giving them a late night snack would lead to this" Aaliyah said referring to their light insomnia
"I was tired of Theo wailing" Zabdiel sighed changing the channel for the 11th time
"Well he is your son" Aaliyah shrugged
"You're never going to let that go are you?" Zabdiel sighed
"Nope" Aaliyah smiled "and anyways, i think Mia's trying to say something"
