Zabidel held the door open while Aaliyah rolled the children into the quiet house. The smell of chicken wafted in the air making them furrow their eyebrows, no one was home so who could it be. Zabdiel pushes Aaliyah behind him, moving towards the kitchen to check who it was
"Joel that's too much" Kendall said putting the powder away "But you said 2 tablespoons" Joel said "Teaspoons babe" Kendall laughed "You know you could have texted to tell us you were here" Zabdiel said scaring both of them "I didn't know i had to tell you i was coming home" Joel said "PTSD is a thing you know" Aaliyah explained "I'm sorry, i wanted to make you something home cooked you know since i don't think you'd have time to make something" Kendall smiled "It's the thought that counts" Aaliyah giggled "What did you make?" "Something my mother always made for me back home" Kendall smiles "thought you may need a change in pallet" "Defiantly, I was getting a bit tired of Ray's spicy enchiladas" Aaliyah said rolling her eyes "Let her hear you say that" Erick said coming downstairs "Woah you look like a train hit you" Zabdiel said pointing to the baggy pants and shirt he was wearing "Yeah in case you didn't notice my fiancé's in New York having fun with her roommate" Erick said plainly "Are you jealous?" Aaliayh laughed "Hes probably not into Ray, calm down" "Whatever" Erick said grabbing a juice box "Anyways we need to get these 2 up the stairs and into bed without waking them" Zabdiel said "You up for the challenge?" "Do i have a choice?" Aaliyah asked "Nope, they're your kids too" Zabdiel smiled kissing Aaliyah's cheek
Aaliyah and Zabdiel opened the door to find the old nursery but they had set up now revamped, there were now 2 cots in the room as well as a bigger cupboard split into 2 for their clothes to be separated.
"Wow Richard and Aleesha really pulled through" Aaliyah awed "Yeah i didn't think they could do it" Aaliyah laughed "Honestly we either" Zabdiel laughed "Well we have a good hour before these 2 trouble makers wake up, do you wanna sleep?" Zabdiel asked "Food, then sleep" Aaliyah said walking out of the room

Ray laughed "Jamie's taking me out to some jazz club around the corner" "Oh- "No, fix ya face" Ray scolded seeing Erick narrow his eyes "Jamie is just a friend" "I know, just be safe you know you're new to the scene and whatever" Erick said calmly "how was your first day" "Pretty okay, the doctors there are really nice and very interstates to know about me and everything during the break, i worked in the infants department today and got to supervise a surgery. I'm supposed to perform my first surgery in 4 months and i am so excited" Ray squealed towards the end "Congratulations mami, i'm so- "Hey Ray you done? Dawn is downstairs already" a deep voice interrupted "Yeah, lemme grab my jacket" Ray said quickly as a head popped in "Oh my god is this your fiancé? he's fine girl" Jamie said grabbing her phone "Hi fine man, my name is Jamie your girl is in great hands i promise you- "Jamie give me my phone back" Ray said snatching the phone and mistakenly hanging up on Erick
Erick stares at his call log, sighing as he laid back into the bed sheets. His phone dinged and he saw to see it was a message from Ray apologising for hanging up, she wished him a good night and promised to call back when she got back. Erick smiled and set his phone on the charger, knowing she meant well. He turned on his side and buried his face into her pillow letting himself fall asleep
