Joel rushed over to Kendall's side to attend to her seeing her clutching the side of her face. He dumped out the nearest drink to him and shoved the ice into a napkin, putting it to her eye to slow down the swelling. Everyone in the restaurant's attention had now been diverted to the group and they all stood unknowing what to do. The girls grabbed their purses and made their way outside, the guys following suit. They got into their respective cars and made their way home, not a word being shared between them.

When everyone got home it was pretty evident that Kat's whole game was over. Joel and Kendall had disappeared upstairs. Aaliyah was stood cuddled into Zabdiel's side while sharing a kebab they made in the kitchen. Riena was pacing the kitchen trying to call Ray, Kat looked visibly defeated and Erick sat staring into space.

"I drove around the block, still no sign of them" Sebastian announced coming into the house
"I tried calling" Riena sighed
"No offence but do you really think she would answer you?" Aaliyah asked Riena
"It was worth a try" Riena sighed
"I knew this was a bad idea from the beginning" Zabdiel said simply
"No you were just jealous" Aaliyah giggled
"Of? him? lol okay" Zabdiel shrugged
"Some people don't like it when their masculinity is questioned" Sebastian said rolling his eyes
"Some people don't get the hint when they see other people are happily together" Zabdiel shot back
"Happily? yesterday was the first time i had seen Aaliyah smile" Sebastian said facing Zabdiel
"And what about it?" Zabdiel asked
"Don't seem like she happy to me" Sebastian smirked

Zabdiel visibly twisted his face in confusion, then thought, then hurt and then into an unreadable expression. He clutched his fists in anger but before he could make a move Kat shot up and stood in front of them

"Stop! this entire game was supposed to be a fun exercise. You were supposed to miss your partner after this, realise how much you want and love them but all i've done is cause hatred and pain for everyone" Kat yelled
"Kat-
"It's fine Aaliyah, i'm leaving in the morning" Kat said grabbing her bag and going upstairs
"You" Aaliyah said turning to Zabdiel "upstairs, now"
"but-
"I said now" Aaliyah said strongly.

She watched as Zabdiel looked up at Sebastian before turning on his heel and storming upstairs, slamming the door in the process. She then sharply turned to Sebastian, cocking her hand back and slapping him

"I don't know who the hell you are or who you think you are but that's my husband you just spoke to. The love of my life and the father of my children. I don't care how hard of a pillow this is for you to swallow but you're going to swallow it. I love Zabdiel De Jesus and Zabdiel De Jesus only. In 4 days i will stood in front of him saying I do and dedicating myself to him in front of our families and God and nothing- no suit wearing, charming little worm of a man- nothing." Aaliyah said finally "now get the fuck out my house"

The smirk on Sebastian's face had dropped and he held a sour expression. Upon Aaliyah's last sentence he hung his head and headed upstairs. Aaliyah watched as he rolled his bag out the front door and listened for the engine of the car disappear into the night before she flopped into the couch with a sigh

"Not a lot of people are as brave as you" Riena said leaning against the doorframe
"Oh yeah?" Aaliyah asked
"Normally a lot of women would drop their panties for Sebastian's smile and money but not you. You're something special Aaliyah and Zabdiel is very lucky to have you" She smiled
"Thanks" Aaliyah blushed "hey before you leave, i meant to ask why Miami?"
"Well" Riena sighed taking a seat "I was looking for a new place to start a whole new life at so when my mother told me about Ray getting married and her being a doctor and all i thought why not kill 2 birds with one stone"
"You do know Ray hates you right?" Aaliyah said with a slight giggle
"Yeah but she can't hide away from me forever" Riena smirked "we're family"
"Well goodluck to you" Aaliyah smiled

Erick looked at his phone, staring the screen down hard as if Ray would magically pop up through the screen or her name would flash across the screen but nothing. He buried his head in his hands as the regret of agreeing to Kendall's plan finally cemented in his emotions. He threw himself back into the bed trying his hardest to divert his thoughts from the one topic swirling in his mind but his eyes caught sight of the array of pictures on Ray's vanity. He stood up and sat on it, gazing at each and every one of them as his mind unlocked the memories

He took the picture of himself and Ray. Ray on his back as a wide smile stretched both their faces. It was the day they had ditched a class and gone to the fair instead. He remembered how stressed Ray was about missing w class until she got on her first ride and let her worries melt away and soon she couldn't stop laughing and giggling. He put it down and grabbed another, one on their wedding day.

His hand sat neatly on her hip as they swayed to the music. Erick looking crisp in his suit and Ray looking magical in her dress. It was a split second when she lifted her head from his chest to look up at him with so much love and adoration that made his heart skip a beat. The moment was captured so crisp that you could see the emotion held in both their eyes before they shared a kiss to wordlessly declare their undying love for one another.

Erick hadn't realised that he was crying until he noticed the tear drop on the frame. He wiped it off with his shirt and put the picture back in its place before putting his elbows on the table and burying his head in his hands, finally letting the stinging in his eyes take over and the squeeze in his heart intensify. A sob ripped through the quiet room as Erick took w shaky breath in

"I never understood why i got so possessive over the things i loved" A voice said from behind Erick

He snapped his head around to face it.
"Amor" he whispered
"But them tonight made me realise. I'm afraid. I'm afraid that the things i love are one day going to wake up and not love me anymore, realise that i am damaged and no longer want me. Get up and walk away from me or better yet doubt my undying love for them" Ray said walking towards Erick "I'm not violent with people who get near you because i want to be Erick. It's because i'm scared of losing you"
"And you never will" Erick interrupted "I'm so sorry mi amor- i should have never let my jealousy get the best of me. I should have never agreed to Kendall's plan, i knew it would upset you and i'm- i'm such a terrible husband. I understand if you want to divorce-
"Hey hey, what did we say here?" Ray asked showing him a picture of them at the alter which she had made her lockscreen
"For better or for worse, in sickness and health, for richer or poorer" Erick said staring at the picture
"Til death do us 'part" Ray whispered "This is forever, you're stuck with my pit bull ass okay"

Erick giggled at her reference, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her into his embrace. He lay his head on her stomach as Ray ran her hands through his hair.
"I love you Erick Brian Colon" Ray smiled
"I love you to Ray Harmony Colón"

Aaliyah walked into hers and Zabdiel's bedroom, knowing well that he had gone to that one and surely enough when she walked through the door there was Zabdiel under the covers. She shrugged her dress off and did her night time routine before moving to the bed. Instead of getting in on her side she straddled Zabdiel and watched him continue to 'sleep'

"You sleep?" Aaliyah asked nonchalantly
"No i'm practicing for my funeral" Zabdiel mumbled
"Good cause we about to hold one instead of a wedding if you don't tell me what the fuck that was" Aaliyah asked him
"It wasn't-
"Okay lemme stop your lie right there" Aaliyah interrupted "Who the father of my children again?"
"Me"
"Who do i sleep next to every night?"
"Me"
"Who knows me inside out?"
"Me"
"And who am i marrying?"
"me"
"Exactly so who do you think i love between you and him?"
"Me"
"Great now next time you wanna pull some little Erick stunt on me, please remember that i am not Ray. I will leave you to have your temper tantrum" Aaliyah smiled leaning down to peck Zabdiel's lips
"I love you" Zabdiel said with a slight laugh
"I love me too"
