"Beat ya!" Ray yelled running through her shared apartment door
"Urgh i thought your fat ass would slow you down" Jamie huffed behind Ray
"Thank you" Ray winked
"That was an insult idiot" Jamie laughed
"Yeah well unlike Hannah Baker people telling me i have a fat ass doesn't make me wanna kill myself" Ray laughed
"I thought i smelt 2 wet dogs" Kai laughed coming out with 2 bottles of water
"That's all your man boo" Ray laughed opening the bottle
"You mean my fine ass Chocolate cappuccino?" Kai said embracing Jamie
"You 2 really make me feel single" Ray joked
"You have a whole ass fiancé girl!" Jamie protested
"Who I need to Facetime once i get out of surgery which i am late to perform" Ray said looking at the clock "see you 2 lovebirds tonight for celebratory drinks?"
"Goodluck" Jamie yelled after her

Richard watched cautiously from the bar as Aleesha directed the movement and flow of the food. Tonight they were attending the big Bryant tribute dinner that the NBA was holding and had asked Aleesha to swiftly plan.

Right after their much needed honeymoon, Aleesha dove straight into work, wanting the event to not only run smoothly but be to the satisfaction of the Bryant family. Once making sure that the dishes were distributed to the right place and making sure everyone at the tables had what they needed Aleesha made her way over to Richard, flopping into his arms with an exhausted sigh

"You okay baby?" Richard asked
"My feet hurt, i wanna take these heels off, my backs starting to hurt and my headache is slowly becoming a migraine" Aleesha listed
"So no?" Richard said jokingly earning an eye roll from Aleesha "I'm sorry my love, if it's any consolation, your event is running smoother than anything i've ever seen"
"Really? thank you, that means so much to me" Aleesha said kissing his cheek
"Bonita i told you, you need to stop underestimating yourself, you're the best planner Miami has ever seen hit the scene, today it's a tribute dinner, tomorrow it's the met gala who knows you could plan Jay Z and Beyoncé's vowel renewal" Richard listed
"Shut up!" Aleesha gasped hitting his chest playfully

Ray washed her hands as she pushed the door with her back to enter, careful not to touch anything with her freshly washed hands. A nurse slipped some gloves on for her and she thanked them. Skilfully Ray made an incision to begin the surgery. The room was quiet, nothing but the steady beep of the patients monitor going as she worked around to get ahold of the massive cyst that was lodged between the appendix and small intestine

Once Ray caught sight of it, she grabbed the proper equipment to get ahold of it, she grabbed it and slowly moved it out of the body, putting it on the tray and moving to stitch her patient up just as the monitors began going off the chart

"We're losing him!" Her senior yelled as everyone moved to get the equipment to revive him
"His heart rate is dropping rapidly!" Ray noted
"His body is going into shock doctor it's your call" He said looking at her

With everyone moving so much around her, the yelling that her senior was giving her, Ray felt the pressure begin to build as she felt the room spin.
"Sedate him, internal bleeding is out the picture because i didn't nick anything so we need to examine him to see what sent him into shock" Ray ordered as a nurse did as she said. The monitor's beeping slowed to a steady one as before making Ray let out a breath she didn't even know she was holding in

She watched as they wheeled the man out of the operation room to be examined. She slipped the bloody gloves off and tossed them into the trash, putting her back to the wall as she slid down and pulled her knees to her chest. Ray sobbed into her knees letting all the fear and stress out

"Hey hey, hey breath for me Ray" Doctor Forbes said rushing to her side
"He has a wife and 3 kids and- and i possibly killed him" Ray cried
"No you didn't you saved him. He's going to be okay he's going to be able to play baseball with his son now because of you, live longer to see those kids grow and grow old with his wife all because of you" he said looking Ray in the eye as she steadied herself
"Thank you" Ray breathed out once she had collected herself
"It's not a problem" he said flashing his smile "You're a great surgeon Ray, don't ever doubt yourself"
"Thank you Doctor Forbes" Ray smiled
"I told you it's Ty" He said with a laugh
"And i told you it's Doctor Rodriguez" Ray joked getting up
"How about i take you out to lunch, you know you congratulate you for this" He said
"As a congratulations? how could i pass that up" Ray smiled
"Noon, Sunday sound good?" He questioned
"Sure" Ray smiled

Richard laughed just as the lights dimmed. The spotlight hit Vanessa, who began giving her speech, her little goodbye to both her husband and daughter. There wasn't a single dry eye in the room as she walked off stage to a booming applause. She made her way right up to Aleesha who gave her condolences and hugged her before she gave Richard a hug as well

"I wanted to thank you for today, it's been an absolutely perfect and amazing night i really couldn't have asked for anything better or anyone else to do this for me" She smiled at Aleesha
"It was my pleasure and honour to pull this off and i am so happy you're happy" Aleesha said giving her hand a squeeze
"I've been looking at the both of you from across the room and i see the love in your eyes for each other. I suggest you cherish it" Vanessa smiled genuinely "Now get out of here i have everything under control"
"But-
"C'mon now Mrs Camacho i don't wanna have security escort you out of here." Vanessa threatened playfully "You've done your part and you've been slaving for the past 3 weeks, i'm sure your husband is dying to have some alone time"
"I must say i am" Richard chipped earning a laugh from Vanessa
"See, no go get 'em tiger" Vanessa said playfully
"Thank you so much, please enjoy your night and don't hesitate to call if you need me back" Aleesha said quickly

She grabbed her purse and her coat, taking Richards hand they walked into the breezy Miami night. Richard suggested they go to a restaurant but Aleesha was feeling something a little less formal after spending a whole 3 weeks of her life being formal and attending a formal event she wanted to let her hair down for a minute so the 2 walked to the nearest food truck and got some greasy kebabs and burgers.

"I can't believe that guy thought you weren't married" Richard laughed shoving a fry into his mouth
"The way he thought you were my bodyguard had me dead" Aleesha laughed
"And then he had the nerve to act like he wasn't intimidated by me" Richard said "like i couldn't breathe and blow him away"
"He really played himself" Aleesha laughed as they reached the front door.

Aleesha opened the door to find Joel and Erick slinging flour bombs at each other while Theo sat in the middle of the floor picking at the flour. Aleesha ran over and picked the baby out just as Joel came running through slipping on the residue and falling

"Oh hey Aleesha, Richard" Joel smiled
"You might explaining how you nearly stepped on my godchild?" Aleesha fumed
"You see the thing is-
"Oh my god" Aaliyah yelled
"It was them" Aleesha said quickly
"Honestly i thought leaving you 2 with my children was a bad idea from the beginning but no i had to listen to Zabdiel!" Aaliyah said snatching Theo from Aleesha's hands
"I left you guys for 2 seconds to put Mia down and this is what happens" Kendall said looking at the flour covered place
"You 2 are going to clean every grain of flour out of this house got it?" Aaliyah said sternly making Erick and Joel nod
"A bunch of fucking kids" Aaliyah mumbled leaving to clean Theo up
"She had a long day and seeing this isn't exactly a plesent sight" Zabdiel apologised
"It's okay" Erick said quickly

Zabdiel followed Aaliyah to the twins bedroom where she was changing Theo. She put him into his cot, kissing his forehead and leaving before he would start fussing and crying. Zabidel followed quietly, watching her wipe her make up

"Honestly if you have something to say Zabdiel right now would be the time" Aaliyah said turning to Zabdiel
"Honestly nena that was a bit harsh what you said to Erick and Joel" Zabdiel said
"They we're having a flour party while our son sat playing in the dirty ass flour like he wouldn't put it in his mouth!?" Aaliyah explained "i was being nice by not snapping their necks"
"Look i get that the trial frustrated you-
"Frustrated, drained, whatever you wanna call it. I don't wanna talk about it" Aaliyah said cutting Zabdiel off
"Nena" Zabdiel said softly

He watched as Aaliyah ignored him, finally being fed up he grabbed her by the shoulders
"Look, that trial drained you as much as it did me. I don't like that he didn't get a life sentence. I'm pissed that he gets to spend it at home but there's nothing we can do about it nena. He said he's out of our lives and as much as you think it's a mind fuck i think he's really done" Zabdiel snapped

Aaliyah took a deep breath, allowing herself to relax into Zabdiel's embrace.
"I'm sorry" Aaliyah whispered
"It's fine nena" Zabdiel said stroking her hair "how about we get into bed and get a well deserved night"
"you know that's impossible with the twins" Aaliyah groaned
"Don't worry Erick's got it" Zabdiel winked making Aaliyah laugh
