Aaliyah exhaustedly made her way into the house through the front door, throwing her bag down on the couch before flopping down next to it with an exhausted sigh. She rubbed a hand over her face as she looked at the clock above the TV that showed 2AM. She'd been gone since 10AM the previous day and was on her feet for the entire time.

She slipped her shoes off and massaged them slowly as Zabdiel came downstairs with the 2 empty bottles of milk. He caught sight of Aaliyah but ignored her nonetheless. Upon seeing the flowers on the kitchen table he grabbed them and threw them at her feet before turning around

"What's this for?" Aaliyah asked him
"Oh, remember the gift that i gave you yesterday morning? oh you don't probably because everything i do for you is not enough" Zabdiel spat
"Okay where the hell is all of this coming from?" Aaliyah asked standing up
"Its coming from me! from the bottom of my heart! i took time to get up and get you flowers to apologise for the meaninglesss comment i made without thinking and yet you take it as if i called you a whore!" Zabdiel yelled
"You did once upon a time-
"Yeah and that's the problem with you Aaliyah, you keep track of my wrongs like i don't ever do anything right for you" Zabdiel said
"I never said-
"You might as well have! I'm tired of this back and forth with you Aaliyah! I do something good and you don't care to acknowledge that! all you do is give snarky remarks and put me off!" He spat at her
"Oh? then finish it. Look me in the eye and tell me we're over!" Aaliyah said
"I can't take the emotional abuse anymore we're done" Zabdiel sighed "sometimes i wish i never met you"

With that Zabdiel hopped upstairs, slamming his door and waking the twins up ultimately. Aaliyah fell to her knees, the strength she had remaining drained from her by just a single sentence. Aleesha rushed downstairs to hug her best friend has Richard took the liberty of hushing the twins up with Joel.

"I'm so sorry honey" Aleesha mumbled as Aaliyah sat with a blank look on her face
"He- he's done with me" She whispered numbly
"He's going to be back don't worry honey" Aleesha reassured her
"Maybe he's really done with me" Aaliyah said
"No baby don't say that. think of Mia and Theo-
"I'm so selfish! i didn't see this good man in front of me and now i lost him" Aaliyah said
"C'mon Li, lets get you to bed you'll be better in the morning" Christopher said helping Aaliyah up

They lead her to her bedroom, Aleesha helping her get ready for bed before leaving her. Aaliyah sat in the dark, the blank look on her face not moving as she tried to digest and process what had happened. The words "i wish i never met you" ringing through her head like an echo.

Aleesha tried Zabdiel's room only to find it locked, she tried calling Ray only for the call to go through to her voicemail. She sighed knowing she'd have to wait until the morning before seeing how Aaliyah was, slipping into the covers with Richard, Aleesha forced herself to sleep

In the morning, Erick slightly shook Ray out of her sleep, letting her know that they had pulled up to the house. Ray stretched and looked out the window, she got out of the car taking her bag and making her way to the front step, she didn't even knock walking right in to find the house empty and quiet

"HONEY I'M HOME!" Ray yelled only to be greeted with silence
"maybe if you yell louder the neighbours might also hear you" Erick laughed behind her
"shut up" Ray said nudging him "I'm getting a divorce"
"Wait what?" Erick asked
"Shh, just wait" Ray whispered
"Bitch you're home let's go!" Aleesha said coming down the stairs

she grabbed Ray's hand before she could say anything and yanked her up the stairs and towards Aaliyah's room.
"What in the- Aaliyah?" Ray questioned as Aleesha ripped the curtains open
"Can you close that" Aaliyah said to Aleesha
"Wow, at least i got a sentence out of her" Aleesha said "she's been like this since Zabdiel broke things off with her"
"i'm sorry he what?" Ray asked looking at Aleesha "why?"
"Because i'm a selfish bitch who can't see something good even if it hit her in the face" Aaliyah said before Aleesha could speak
"Awe baby that's not true" Ray said taking a seat next to her
"If it isn't then why do i feel like it? Zabdiel was so good to me, accepted my flaws and i- i pushed him away" Aaliyah said with a slight sniff
"C'mon Aaliyah you have to let it out at some point" Ray whispered

And as if clockwork Aaliyah finally allowed the feelings that she was feeling to take over. Her body shook as she sobbed into Ray's shoulder. Aleesha looked at her worriedly as Ray mouthed to her to bring water and a pain killer. Ray rubbed Aaliyah's back, not saying a word as she mumbled incoherently through the snot, tears and phlegm.

Aaliyah was always the strong one of the trio, she always gave the shoulder to cry on and it was never the other way around. So to be sitting here watching their friend break in front of them was horrible for Ray and Aleesha because Aaliyah always knew what to do they had no idea how to deal with the situation.

Before long, Aaliyah had fallen asleep, Ray gently put her in bed tucking her in and leaving her room with a sigh as the door clicked closed. They made their way downstairs to find Christopher frantically changing out of his shirt as Erick tried to put the diaper on Theo and Kat burped Mia.

"This is a mess guys" Ray announced standing by Erick to take over
"Have any of you spoken to Zabdiel?" Kat asked
"He's locked himself in his room and won't come out" Joel sighed
"They can't break up!" Richard exclaimed "what about Mia and Theo! i can't sit back and watch them go through what I put Aaliyah through"
"Baby" Aleesha said rubbing his back "we won't let that happen, i think i have a plan"
"Your plan better be solid because i don't think Zabdiel's going to budge" Christopher said coming back with a new shirt
"I think we should leave, you know get Theo and Mia's minds off of it and they'll sort it out themselves" Aleesha shrugged
"That's not going to work, Zabdiel is stubborn" Richard said shaking his head
"Plus Mia and Theo have no clue what's going on" Ray said holding Mia who giggled at the mention of her name "Zabdi's mom hasn't flown back yet, how about we call her in and get her to talk to them"
"Yeah she's the only one who'll get through to Zabdiel right now" Erick backed
"Okay then we disappear for the day?" Christopher said
"I'll get my bag, and we can leave" Aleesha said
"I'll call her" Joel said grabbing his phone

Once everything had been put in place the group let Zabdiel know they were going and left. Richard making a stop at Yocelyn's to get Aaliyah before they all drove off to where Christopher said would "calm them all down and get their mind off things"
