"Look what i got" Ray smirked waving a clear plastic bag in front of Erick's face
"A bag?" Erick asked looking at her
"No idiot" Ray sighed "a joint"
"A joint?" Erick asked "like weed?"
"Exactly that sir, pure fresh sativa blend, grown for 4 weeks in the sun and watered with the perfect mix of water and insecticide" Ray said smelling the joint "perfect" she breathed out
"Have you already had it?" Erick laughed
"What? no!" Ray exclaimed "you don't smoke this beauty alone! That would be insensitive and selfish"
"Ohhhh" Erick drew out "well enjoy that one"
"You're not- you're not gonna smoke with me" Ray asked giving Erick the puppy dog eyes
"Sienna's literally about to get up from her nap, find both of us stoned? then what?" Erick asked Ray
"Fine i'm calling Christopher over" Ray huffed getting up
"You do that mami" Erick yelled
"Guess he'll help out when the horny stage comes along" Ray said still walking away from Erick dispite his yelling for her to come back

Aleesha walked into the living room to find Christopher frantically searching along the couch cushions for something while mumbling "i'm late" to himself

"Looking for something" Aleesha said loud enough stopping Christopher for a moment before he continued flipping the couch cushions onto the floor

"I'm looking for my pack of mints" Christopher mumbled

"can someone not have a nap without a bunch of kids making a noise!?" Aaliyah asked rubbing the sleep out of her eye
"Ray's smoking again" Aleesha said
"What?" Aaliyah yelled "we need to stop her!"

"Well she's lit the blunt now" Christopher said showing the video Ray had sent to him

"Get in the car, explain later" Aleesha said grabbing her car keys

Ray drew a long drag from the blunt, swallowing the smoke before exhaling and watching the white smoke disappear in front of her. Erick opened the sliding door to the swimming area in Lunay's house and watched as Ray drew again and closed her eyes before exhaling. He knew she had smoked in her past, there was a reason she stopped but she never told him anything deeper. She had smoked occasionally during their collage days but it wasn't anything hectic and she never took one by herself.

"You gonna stare or join me?" Ray asked Erick
"You blazed yet?" Erick asked
"Blazed?" Ray asked "who the fuck uses that grandpa?"
"Me" Erick said sitting in front of her and taking the joint from between her fingers. He drew from it, instantly regretting it as he choked and began a coughing fit that Ray laughed at
"weak lungs" Ray smirked taking it back and dragging again only to blow the smoke into Erick's mouth and closing it for him then kissing him, inhaling it back and exhaling it
"I'm sure you choked on your first time too" Erick said nudging Ray
"Yeah i choked" Ray smirked "just not on smoke"
"Wait-
"Penis, i was choking on penis" Ray said boldly
"where did you learn all this?" Erick asked laughing

"Back in high school, junior high, my boyfriend at the time took me to this high schoolers party and handed me the joint and first pull i took i started coughing but slowly he taught me how to breathe through it. Then how to drag properly, experience the most out of the high. He taught me all these amazing tricks, the types of weeds, the growth times" Ray explained with a smile as she recalled "he would always have this stupid goofy smile on his face when he spoke about these plants, the way his fingers were so gently with the paper, how he licked the ridges, pressed them down, how he cut the weed, nurtured it"
"Sounds like someone special" Erick said looking at a very much high Ray
"My first love" Ray whispered "after we broke up i tried to fill that void up with- with something- someone. Then i met you, but you didn't want me, then Yashua came along then you again and i'm so horny right now"
"Yeah i think that's enough for you" Erick said taking the almost finished joint from Ray
"No" Ray said making grabby hands for it watching with hooded eyes as Erick put it out and threw it in the nearest ash trey
"C'mon, i read somewhere that weed makes you hungry so i'll get you a snack, and then it's off to bed" Erick said helping Ray up
"No no food" Ray mumbled lazily "dick"
"You can have Erick Jr when you're sober okay?" Erick said pulling her up towards the kitchen "here, finish off the sand which Sienna didn't"

Aleesha sped down the road of Lunay's house after making the 5th wrong turn in a row
"I told you to use google maps!" Aaliyah yelled at Christopher
"But i told you i'd seen the house before!" Christopher justified
"Where exactly?" Aaliyah asked
"In his pictures" Christopher shrugged earning a slap to the back of the head
"Get out!" Aleesha yelled as she turned the engine off

The 4 of them walked up to the door, knocking over and over again as they waited for Erick to answer. When he eventually did they pushed past him to find Ray talking to the dining room chair

"Can you believe him! after 9 years of marriage he won't give me dick" Ray told the chair before bursting into tears
"So she smoked the entire thing on her own" Christopher said sadly
"That's not the point bitch!" Aaliyah yelled slapping the back of his head again
"Okay we need to get her a glass of water and some aspirin and get her to bed" Aleesha said helping Ray up
"You'd think for someone whose been smoking as long as her she's be immune to the hangover stage" Aaliyah said
"I wish she sobered up as quick as she got high" Aleesha gritted

Once the 2 girls got their best friend collected and in bed they made their way back downstairs where the boys were now playing some game on the TV.

"You might wanna be there with a bucket and cold clothe in 10 hours sir" Aleesha said
"Thanks" Erick said wiping his hands on his jean "uhh what did you mean by-
"Look Erick its not our place to speak but when she comes around you can ask her" Aaliyah sighed
"She told me about her first love" Erick blurted
"Ah she told you about Blake" Aleesha sighed "Look man, just ask her who Blake Griffin is"
"Then duck" Aaliyah smiled "anyways pack it up you freeloaders"
"Wait why should i duck?" Erick asked
"Because she's either gonna throw something at you or strangle you" Aleesha smiled "bye Erick"

With that the girl closed the door leaving Erick alone in the house to think about what they had said to him as well as what Aleesha had said to him sink in
