"where are you guys going to bright and early?" Erick's mother asked the husbands downstairs
"Thought we'd take the boys out for some gingerbread house making" Ray's dad answered fixing his coat
"you mean interrogating" Yashua said coming down the stairs
"Nothing like that, just some man to man bonding" Richard snr shrugged
"Papi, please go easy on the boy. Ray seems very happy with him" Ray's mom said fixing her husbands jacket
"Just wanna make sure there is no funny business" he justified "Last boy she was with-
"Nearly sent her to hospital, i know i was there" Ray's mom interrupted
"Mine actually went to hospital, if i get my hands on that little boy" Aaliyah's mom gritted
"You'll murder him, i know mami" Aaliyah smiled setting an arm on her mother's shoulder

The boys came down in a singe file to meet the fathers. Each greeting their girlfriends with kisses.

"Not in front of us" Ray's dad snapped making Erick take a step away from her
"Take it easy on him please Papi" Ray said to her father
"He has a child so one piece please" Aleesha said to her father
"have fun boys!" Erick's mother yelled
"There's 12 heads, can 12 please come back in one piece" Aaliyah said
"I thought we were spending Christmas together" Christopher's mother said
"We are, just separate for now. You better be home by 3!" Aaliyah's mother said

The boys packed into their car and left for the gingerbread house making factory workshop they were attending. Conversations seemed to flow pretty well between the older and younger men, better than they would have thought. When they arrived they were told to put themselves into teams of

Everyone dispersed to the tables and slipped on the aprons and gloves. They listened to the instructions of what to do and not to before being given the chance to build it the way they wanted to

"Have you introduced Yocelyn to Aleesha?" Richard snr asked grabbing the icing
"Yeah,  their friends and whatever" Richard shrugged
"You don't seem too happy" Zabdiel said
"Yeah well with Yoceyn's track record you wouldn't be either" Richard sighed
"Look, you love Aleesha right? You shouldn't let outside influences change that" Aleesha's father said simply "Aleesha's a strong girl, she knows where her priorities lie"
"Even if she tends to get a bit petty, she loves you man" Zabdiel nudged
"Something which i hope you feel for my daughter" Aaliyah's father said looking over at Zabdiel
"c'mon now, clearly they havn't said it yet" Richard snr teased

Everyone constructed their gingerbread houses, the judges came around and deemed Zabdiel's team, which was Aaliyah's dad, Ray's dad and Erick the winners of the table with Christopher's team coming last because theirs didn't even have a wall.

"It's under construction!" Christopher justifies
"Give up" Yashua said patting his shoulder

They decided to take a break before they had to be home. Ray's father decided to pull Erick towards the side. To say Erick was nervous was an understatement

"With all due respect before you say anything, I do love your daughter very much. She is the light of my life, the only reason aside from music that i get up but even if i had to chose between them i'd pick her any day. i promise to take care of her love and cherish her and trust when i say i'm not dating her to pass time i do plan on marrying her" Erick rushed out quickly
