Aaliyah sat at the end of the table feeding Mia, completely unaware of the conversation through glances that Zabdiel and Aleesha were having. Aleesha was furious that Zabdiel still hadn't spoken to her about her reassurance issue and she didn't want to but if she had to she was going to pipe up about it. Ray and Erick joined the table stopping their coded conversation

"You guys good?" Ray asked
"We're doing good Mrs Colón" Aleesha smiled as her friend blushed
"Never getting over that" Ray smiled "anyways we wanted to tell you guys we're off to France tonight for our honeymoon, you have to book out of the villa tomorrow morning"
"Oh just like that?" Aaliyah asked "you guys are terrible hosts"
"Hey now, we accommodated the hell out of yall" Erick laughed
"I heard honeymoons are babymaking time" Christopher smirked
"oh no babies will be made until the babies are legal" Aaliyah scolded "i don't know how you two keep getting away with alcohol"
"It's a gift" Ray smiled
"So that's it huh? off to your honeymoon for a week?" Christopher asked
"Are you crying Veléz?" Ray asked "it's just a week he's coming back"
"But he's married" Christopher sniffed wiping a tear away
"You're wilding" Aaliyah laughed "anyways i gotta go to the bathroom"
"Same here" Kendall said getting up
"Gotta make sure everyone is okay" Erick said leading Ray off
"Can i- can i steal Zabdiel for a minute" Aleesha said pulling him off to the bar

"I presume you havn't said anything to her judging by how happy she looks" Aleesha asked him
"Look, i'm not about to do this with you" Zabdiel said moving to leave
"Yes you are! you're not about to call my best friend some insecure little girl and not tell her" Aleesha spat
"I told you i didn't mean anything by it and you need to stick your nose out of my relationship" Zabdiel said banging his fist against the table
"Hey hey, is everything good?" Richard asked coming up to Aleesha
"Ask your best friend" Aleesha spat
"What did you do man" Richard sighed
"I didn't do anything she keeps pestering me about the comment i made about Aaliyah always needing reassurance at the suit shop" Zabdiel huffed
"Is that what you think of me?" Aaliyah said making Zabidel turn around
"Amor it was a meaningless comment" Zabdiel said
"Just like the one about me not wanting to marrying you but jumping into bed with you huh?" Aaliyah asked softly "I knew this was a mistake"
"Aaliyah-
"No Zabdiel, I'm tired of this, this constant "nena this" "nena that" like it'll solve things. Just say it! say it with your chest and get it done with!" Aaliyah snapped
"I'm just tired of constantly having to reassure you that i'll never be with anyone else but you. Assuring you that i love you. Does it not show? does mommy love for you not shine through my actions enough?" Zabdiel asked her
"Is everything okay, looks a bit tense" Ray asked coming to the group
"Everything is fine" Aaliyah said maintaining eye contact with Zabdiel "Thank you so much for inviting me to your beautiful wedding, but i'm not feeling well so i'll get out of your hair"
"Li-
"And you, if Richard said anything about you behind my back i would have let you know in a heartbeat" Aaliyah spat at Aleesha before leaving

With that Aaliyah went back to the table and gathered her things as well as the twins things, loading them into the stroller before leaving the venue. Ray looked back at Zabidel who's head was hung on the bar.

"You wanna explain?" Christopher asked
"Back at the suit shop i made a comment about Erick always needing assurance like Aaliyah but i didn't mean anything by it i swear." Zabdiel explained
"If Aaliyah made a comment about a flaw of yours how exactly would you feel Zabdiel?" Kat asked
"And i get that she feels the way she does about it but it meant nothing" Zabdiel sighed
"You keep saying it meant nothing but clearly it meant something to her" Richard said
"Are you convincing us or yourself that it meant nothing" Ray asked him
"Look man, just speak-
"I'm tired of talking that's all we ever do and there's no progression!" Zabdiel yelled in frustration
"Okay then pull a Richard or do something about it instead of yelling and ruining my wedding" Ray snapped at him "Now get your ass into a cab and find my best friend and text me! got it?"
"Fine" Zabdiel sighed

With that Zabdiel was off and out to find Aaliyah. The boys left along with Kendall and Kat to sit back down at the table as the wedding was still going on and it was about to be the garter tossing part. Ray pulled Aleesha back, seating her on a bar stool

"So since when the hell did girl code change?" She asked her best friend
"I- i didn't want to instigate something that wasn't there" Aleesha explained
"Well there was something there clearly Leesha" Ray sighed
"I'm sorry for not telling her but it wasn't exactly my place to tell her" Aleesha said in defence
"Aaliyah will keep that in mind when Richard says something in her presence" Ray said crossing her arms over her chest
"I get that you're angry
"I'm not, Aaliyah is- i'm just disappointed that you didn't come to her or me" Ray said simply
"Mamita, it's garter time" Erick hummed coming behind her "everything okay?"
"Just fine papi" Ray smiled "let's go"

With that Ray left Aleesha and seated herself in the middle of the room on the chair that was brought out. Erick got on his knees in front of her, sliding under her skirt earning whistles from the boys in the room. He slid the garter down her leg painfully slow making her blush into her hands. Once he came up he gave her a kiss on the cheek and showed the masses the material.

The single men gathered behind Erick and he tossed it into the masses, the same happening with Ray's bouquet of flowers. The day continued as planned, aside from the small hiccup and obvious absence of Aaliyah and Zabdiel, but things had to go on.

Aaliyah sat staring at a sleeping Theo, watching his chest rise and fall rhythmically in a trance before being snapped out of it by the door opening and closing. She exited hers and Zabdiel's room, closing the door quietly to be met by Zabdiel coming up the stairs. She pointed to the back and he followed her out onto the deck.

"When Dante and I broke up he wouldn't stop sending me messages. Messages telling me how much he loved and wanted me back along with copious apologies for his infidelity among the many texts about how ugly, fat, controlling and jealous i was. It was something i never fully got over because i will always see it, my first boyfriend, the man who was supposed to show me what love was, was calling me a disgusting pig who sleeps around the school. He got his little friends to also bully me online as well as physically in school. My father tried to show me the. better things in life but i just couldn't see it until i met you. I wanted to dive right in, keep feeling the exact same way i felt around you all the time but, but this wall that i had built wasn't budging, as much as i tried and tried to chip away at it seeing you with different girls, kissing on music videos, doing promos just- i just couldn't. I thought maybe the twins would help it, but there's this little greedy monster inside me that constantly needs to know that everything is okay and nothing is going to change that. And i can't apologize for it because i can't make it go away but what i can apologise for is for bothering you and needing your assurance" Aaliyah said not even looking at Zabidel

"Aaliyah i didn't mean anything by it, i've said it countless amounts of times that you're amazing and i'll never get tired of saying it" Zabdiel explained
"Then why make a comment so crude?" Aaliyah asked
"I- i don't know" Zabdiel shrugged
"i don't know if i'll move past this but for now" Aaliyah turned to Zabdiel "i think it's best we take a break from each other"
"Aaliyah-
"You can come see Mia and Theo when you feel like just let me know a good day in advance" Aaliyah said easily "I moved your things to the room next to Joel and Kendall's by the way"
"This isn't forever right?" Zabdiel asked in a small voice
"Hopefully not" Aaliyah said turning on her heel and leaving

Zabdiel looked around him for something to throw, something to punch just anything to release what he felt inside. It wasn't anger, or sadness but regret. He didn't know why he said what he said but he had no problem with Aaliyah's need for reassurance. He sat on the deck looking at the sky, the damage had been done now he needed to find a way to undo it
