"You know, I'm actually surprised." Bellamy stopped in his tracks as I jumped down from the tree. I had caught his tracks and been trailing him for at least an hour. Which by the time should have made Octavia realize I wasn't back at camp, and neither was her brother.
"Get out of my way, Shadow." He spat his hand on his axe.
"So who'd you shoot?" Bellamy covered up his shock by clenching his jaw and trying to push passed me. "Don't run from me, Blake." I grabbed his arm and pulled him back to me.
"Back off, Atlys. Or should I say Persphyni." He shoved against me and I let him go.
"That's okay, I still won our little bet though. It was Jaha, wasn't it?" He grabbed me by my neck and shoved me against a tree.
"You've got guts, Blake." I laughed as he stared me down in the face. Unfazed that I had a hand around my throat. "But not that much." He squeezed. The pressure surprisingly comfortable, compared to the time when I was thrown into a wall. "Don't worry. I won't tell. After all, we've all got our secrets."
"Now get your damn hands off me." He pushes me tighter against the tree before letting me go. "The chancellor. Wow. Big shot huh." I laughed as I indirectly made a pun.
"Shut up, Atlys." I was enjoying pushing his buttons.
"Not going to call me by my first name." I faked pouted, "I really liked hearing your fake ass say it." If it was possible he got even angrier.
"Why are you so annoying!"
"Why are you such an ass!"
"Bitch!"
"Asshole!"
Bellamy growled in frustration. His fist becoming white as he clenched them.
"As fun as this has been, I've got a pod to protect." I turned around and started to walk away. Pulling my dagger out, remembering this scene all to well. When I felt the air shift, I spun around, dodging to the left as I brought my dagger out in front of me.
"And that's how you don't get knocked unconscious by Murphy." I informed as Bellamy and I started circling each other.
"Shut up." He growled.
"Make me, Fake." I spat.
He dropped the stick he had picked up and pulled his axe out of his belt. I flipped my dagger in my hand as he spun his axe. Both our weapons in our right hand, but him having the greater reach.
We walked in a tight circle, neither one of us striking as we didn't want to give up the starting advantage. And when I had my back towards the direction of the pod, I got an idea.
I stood up tall, staring behind Bellamy, and lowered my dagger. Squinting my eyes to make is seem like I was looking at something.
"Octavia?" That caught his attention. He too turned around and looked behind him. Trying to find his little sister. I silently laughed as I slipped away. Back on the path towards the pod. Bellamy left in the darkness as I continued through.

I didn't get to the pod. In fact, I didn't get anywhere near it. Not because I had bad sense of direction, but because I ran into some trouble. And was now currently running from a hunting party of grounders.
Ironically we were all headed in the same place, unfortunately I ran into them before either of us could get there. And now I was running away, all ten of the grounders on my ass.
"Hon gada in!" I heard one of them yell as they sprinted behind me. This was their forest. There was ten of them. And they weren't as slow as the rest of the 100. So while my sprint was five times faster than the 100, it was only two times as fast as them. Meaning I had to push as I jumped over logs and weaved in between trees.
I was the one at a major disadvantage for the first time in a long time. They knew the terrain, they had better long range weapons as the many spears and arrows that have flown past me have shown, they had more people. So my only bet was to get them to separate. I had moved my gun into my inside pocket and my dagger into my left hand as I ran, a spear that I picked up from the ground in my right.
I scanned the forest, the sunlight growing and lighting up my path. I needed— perfect. I ran in the direction of the fallen tree. I leaped over it, dropping to the ground and tucking and rolling underneath it. I quickly evened my heavy breathing as I tucked tighter under the tree.
The ten footsteps jumped over the tree and stopped just in my eyesight.
"Hon op, gada." I sat quietly not moving even if I thought I might have been sticking out. "Split up, find her. Go in pairs." They spoke English. My eyes were wide as they exposed a valuable secret to me. I waited until they all went in different directions. Two groups of two continued forward, two grounders backtracked, two went to the right and the final two went left.
I needed to take the backtrackers out first. Then I'd go left then cut across to the right. Then I'd handle the four at the front when I was warm.
I waited one more minute before rolling out from the tree. Praying that the two who backtracked had a sword or a bow that I could use.
I found the two shortly after I began to track them. Their trail harder to track as they stepped lightly and barely made any noise. Sounds familiar, I shook the smirk off my face as I refocused.
There was a female and male, the two walking further apart as they scanned the path we had ran down earlier. The female had a spear and the male a bow, not a sword but I could do with long range. I waited until the male went off on his own to go after the female.
I grabbed a rock and threw it a few yards in front of her. Her head snapping to the side and she went towards the rock to investigate.
"Gullible." I moved behind her using the trees to cover me. She bent down to check the rock, quickly standing back up as she identified it as the source of noise. But unfortunately, not fast enough. As she turned around, I threw the spear. She made eye contact with me right as the spear went into her abdomen.
Her shock written on her face as she dropped to her knees. When she placed both hands on the spear I ran towards her. I held my dagger to her throat, blood spilling from her mouth as she closed her eyes.
"Ai gonplei ste odon." I slit her throat. Blood splattering on my face and torso. But her words rang in my ear.
Her words rang in my ear as I killed her partner without a shred of remorse, and he spoke those same words.
Her words rang in my ear, like a song that I couldn't understand, as it was echoed amongst the next two groups I took out. The right and left group, the four grounders repeating her words.
That was their goodbye, like ours they sent their dead off with a parting. Ai gonplei ste odon. I, something something, all done. It was repeating, the words stuck in my head as I stalked the last two groups who had met back up. Blood coating my skin, but I didn't care.
I pulled the bow back, the last arrow I had taken notched and ready. I aimed it at the man who had taken charge of the hunting party. The one who talked in English. I considered using him as a translator, but he wouldn't have spoken in English if the others couldn't. So I fired. The arrow soared through the air. The soft whistle filled my ears as I dropped the bow and began advancing with the sword I had picked up from a woman in the second group.
The leader had fallen down, the arrow imbedded in his throat. The person on his left was next as I sprinted up behind him, stabbing him through the chest. I yanked my dagger as I whirled around to face the last too and paused. They were kids. One maybe a few years younger than me, but the other was young. Like Charlotte.
"I need you to deliver a message for me." I sensed their desire to fight me. "Don't fight, I don't want to kill you but I will if I have to. And don't bother pretending like you don't understand. I know you speak English." The two kids looked at each other. The older boy stepping in front of the younger boy slightly.
"My name is Persphyni Atlys. I am the leader of the 100, the people who just fell out of the sky. And I want peace. And if necessary, I will fight and kill to have that for my people. The eight others in this hunting party are dead because they tried to kill me, and they died honorable deaths. I send you two back with good faith, and this message." I flipped the sword in my hand to where the hilt was facing the two boys.
"Now go."
