When I got back to camp, I was notified by Monty that Clarke and Bellamy took a crew out to the crash site. I took that as a sign to start packing. I would be leaving tonight. No more pretending I was someone who I'm not.

"Thanks, Monty."

Guess life took pity on me, Clarke and Bellamy were gone the entire day. The multiple hours allowing me to pack and cram my tent and three blankets as well as some rations to last me until I could hunt into a backpack. It was dark when I started to head out of camp, readying my excuse of hunting if any of the teens started asking questions.

But just when I thought luck was on my side, an old friend decided to show up.

"Somebody hit the trip wire." Shit. That was on the other end of camp. I ran around the wall, demanding that I wouldn't get shot because of some trigger happy dumbass. Speaking of trigger happy, three shots echoed through the forest.

"Where's Persphyni?" I heard someone inside yell. Guess I'm going to make a later escape.

"Outside the wall! Checking out the wire!" I shouted back, regretting it as I remembered that it could be a grounder out here. I made it to a main gate, seeing Octavia begin to walk out.

"Wait, let me go first." Octavia hesitated but nodded and got closer to me,

"It might be Lincoln." I gave her a looking asking if she was sure, but she only nodded to a white flower in a tree.

"Okay." I turned directing my words to the two gunners approaching with torches. "Back off, stay twenty paces back. Don't want anyone slipping in through the gate." I made up the excuse but they bought it.

I pulled my dagger out as Octavia stayed a few steps behind me. Whatever was out here wasn't making a lot of noise. I neared a tree that held a small bush below it and saw movement.

"Octavia, be careful." Connor warned, most likely on Bellamy's orders. I walked to where I could see the faint outline of a person.

"Torch." Connor passed me his torch and I held it up so I could see the person better. Nearly dropping it as I gasped at the sight.

"Murphy?" He was beaten and bloody. Not to mention he was shying away from me, the easy signs of torture. "Shit." I handed the torch back to Connor and walked towards Murphy making sure to keep my distance and put my dagger away.

"Hey, Murphy." I gave him a small smile. I crouched down away from him, giving him enough space. "When you're ready, can we get you to the dropship so I can check you out?" Murphy stared at me, and hesitantly nodded.

"Okay, let me know when you're ready." I looked to Octavia, Connor, and I think his name was Derek.

"Go get a stretcher, Via stay with me and a torch. You two, go into camp and come straight back out. Don't say a word to anyone." They nodded and hurried back inside.

"What happened to you?" I whispered to myself as I stared at Murphy's damaged skin. "This is my fault. I'm sorry."

"No, don't apologize." His voice croaked as he shivered. I pulled my pack off and grabbed one of the blankets from inside.

"You look cold, can I?" Murphy nodded. The small action of letting me wrap a blanket around him making me smile knowing that he was comfortable around me.

"I know this is the last thing you want to hear, but when you feel up to it I need to know everything." Murphy hugged the blanket towards him as he leaned backwards against the tree.

"Okay."

I hadn't left Murphy's side as he shook constantly. Of course the ten other teens staring at him with guns wasn't helping either.

"Go check perimeter, those guns need to be at the wall and not in here." I addressed the teens who seemed hesitant. "Are you questioning me?" I slowly rose from the box I had been sitting on.

"Get to the wall." I growled as I got closer. They nodded and started to leave when Bellamy and Clarke burst into the drop ship.

"Where is he?" I stepped in front of Murphy as Bellamy stormed towards him. The teens inside clearing a path for him and Clarke.

"Everyone but Connor and Derek out, now!" I stayed in front of Murphy, trying to block him from Bellamy whose finger was itching on the trigger. The teens who had begun to leave finally filling out.

"He claims he was with the grounders." Derek said as I remained staring at Bellamy and Clarke.

"We caught him trying to sneak back into camp." I whirled around as Connor spoke.

"He wasn't trying to sneak into anything. So watch your damn mouth and get your facts straight." I took a step towards Connor, he instantly took a step back and looked to Bellamy.

"I was running from the grounders." I looked down at Murphy as he spoke. His voice soft and weak, even after I had given him water.

"Anyone see grounders?" I turned back to Bellamy as he rose his voice.

"No." I said stepping back in front of Murphy.

"Well in that case-" Bellamy lifted his gun just like I expected him to.

"Hey. What the hell is wrong with you!" Finn said knocking the gun down.

"We were clear what would happen if he came back here." Bellamy said turning from Finn to me, raising his gun again. "Persphyni, move."

"No." I kept my hands to my sides as my right crept towards my dagger.

"If he was with the grounders, then he knows things that can help us." Finn reasoned as he too stepped in front of Bellamy's gun.

"What happened to the undivided front?" I glared over Finn's shoulder at Bellamy. I wasn't going to be apart of that front. Not anymore.

"We hanged him, we banished him, and now we're gonna kill him. Get the hell out of my way." I took a step back, my foot making contact with Murphy's so that he knew I was there.

"No, Finn's right." Clarke walked over to me as I continued to shield his body. "I'm not going to hurt him." I looked down at Murphy.

"Baby Dr. Griffin is going to check you out, okay?" Murphy slowly nodded and looked away from me to Clarke who crouched down beside him.

"Like hell he is." Bellamy took a step forward, the motion making me pull my dagger out and meet his gaze.

"Clarke, Persphyni, think about Charlotte." Bellamy tried to persuade.

"I am thinking about her, but what happened to Charlotte is as much our fault as is his." Speak for yourself.

"May I remind you, I was right back then, and I am right about this now. You are not touching a hair on his head, Blake. Do you understand?" Bellamy and I continued to glare at each other. Neither one of us moving as we filled the drop ship with tension.

"He isn't lying. His fingernails were torn off. They tortured him." Clarke assessed Murphy's physical state as he remained quiet.

"You and the grounders should compare notes." Finn turned to Bellamy as he spoke.

"Shut up, Finn." I commanded, now wasn't the time to be taking low swings.

"The grounders know we're at war." Bellamy lectured Finn before turning his gaze to Murphy. "What did you tell them about us?"

Murphy was quiet for a moment. And when the word came from his mouth I turned around and met his watering eyes.

"Everything."
