Bellamy made the first move. A right hook to my head. I blocked and sent a jab to his chest. He blocked it just like I wanted him to, leaving his left side exposed. I sent a kick, dropping low as he swung for my head again. I came up and took a step backwards as I evaded his own jab.
He had the greater reach meaning I had to get inside if I wanted to get him down. But he also wasn't a small guy. I mean, compared to Lincoln he was an adolescent. But to me, he was just short of a giant. Sure I was two-three inches shorter and muscular, but Bellamy was big. Honestly I wouldn't have been surprised if he was apart of the guard. He had the build for it, and the skill.
He had swept my feet from underneath me as I went for a left hook. I was surprised he had managed to knock me down let alone make contact. Even more so when he didn't try to pin me, guess he realized I wasn't tired as I jumped up, back onto my feet.
"Get him, Persphyni!" I smirked as Octavia yelled out.
"Yeah!" Clarke and a few girls cheered.
"Come on, Bellamy!" It was Bellamy's turn to smirk as Miller and a few other boys cheered him on.
I swung my right fist towards his face, my left hitting him in the stomach as he blocked my first punch. Once I connected I hopped back and out of the way, staying on my toes as we went back and forth.
I blocked Bellamy's right hook and sent a kick to his left quad. Just trying to spread the hits out so he really feels it tomorrow morning. He had been doing a really good job of protecting his face, something I found great humor in as I began to taunt him.
"You should block more than your face. Not like it can get too much uglier than it already is." I heard laughter from behind me.
"At least it's still prettier than yours." I knew he was trying to get on my nerves, and the "ohhh" in the background wasn't helping me.
Let me tell you really quickly why I was so shocked about what happened next. First of all, I've been in solitary my entire life so I've never actually physically interacted with the opposite sex. Sure sometimes in the arena they'd put up a fight, but they'd never do what Bellamy just did. Second, what he did afterwards surprised the hell out of me too.
I dodged a jab from Bellamy then sent a jab back, missing as he stepped away. I went to follow but stopped when I watched his hands trail to his shirt. I didn't even so much as blink and I was suddenly staring at Bellamy's bare torso and I froze. I was still in an athletic stance so I at least looked like I was still ready to fight but I wasn't. Especially when Bellamy came back and sent a kick to my side. I watched as his big ass muscular leg swung towards me and I couldn't move out of the damn way.
I fell on the ground, the hard surface waking me up as I rolled forward. I landed on my toes, flicking my ponytail braid back before standing up and looking at the distance between Bellamy and myself.
"Seriously?" He just smirked and gave me a shrug.
"It was getting hot." Yeah, I can see that. Focus.
"You're right." I ducked under his arm moving around his body and sending a fist into the back of his shoulder. My bare knuckles against his extremely sweaty back.
I contemplated, five seconds it took for me to muster up the courage. The look in Bellamy's eyes and the space he was giving me told me he knew exactly what I was thinking. It was time, I looked into his encouraging eyes as he waited on me.
Who I am, won't disappear.
I grabbed the hem of my tank top and lifted it, thanking the Ark that my sports bra covered enough, my scars exposed as I stood in the clearing. My top landed on Bellamy's as we began to circle. I could hear the whispers behind me, and I fought to shake off the doubt surrounding my head.
"Hey, just focus." Bellamy whispered as we went back to circling each other. "You still have to kick my ass." He sent me a wink and I smirked in return.
Bellamy lunged at me, his arm swung wide and I used both of mine to block as he continued to force his weight on it. My right side was exposed and he took advantage of that. I had to drop hold of his right arm and duck as I moved away from the hit to my right obliques. I hissed as I felt my scab tear slightly.
"Stop, focus on the fight not me, Vlákas." I told Bellamy as I sent a kick to his right hip.
"Did you just call me idiot in Greek?" He looked surprise as he blocked a hook.
"What if I did. I spent a lot of time in that country." He nodded as he pushed me backwards.
"Pers, just a heads up you have that meeting in like, ten minutes!" Clarke shouted as Bellamy and I threw punches at each other.
"Guess I'll have to wrap this up then." I smirked at Bellamy, sending him one last punch that he would be able to block before diving in.
I jabbed, ducked, and swiped his legs from underneath him. The motion was too fast for him to catch his balance as he thudded on the forest floor. I quickly climbed on top of him, making sure to straddle him as I pinned his arms down on his stomach. Making him unbalanced as he tried to lift me up and over.
"You lose." I let a little tension go of his arms as I began to stand up. Not expecting him to catch my ankle and practically drag me to the ground. Now he was sitting on top of me and smirking.
"You lose." He had my hands pinned over my head so he was slightly leaning over me, but he felt closer than he hopefully was. I didn't look away from his brown eyes as they stared amused into mine. His little chuckle snapped me out of it, and I looked at a way to get out.
I slid my hands into his so he wasn't holding my wrist but actually grabbing my palms, and laced them together. The action surprising him and giving me enough time to flip us over. Straining slightly as I bridged and twisted so he was on the ground. This time I had both his hands pinned underneath my knees and a hand at his throat.
"Consider your ass having been kicked." I could hear the people who had routed for me cheer as the others groaned or joined in by laughing. Bellamy himself let out a little laugh and tapped my right hand with his left. I looked down at my right leg to see I didn't actually have him pinned but it was a stick.
"For now. I expect a rematch, preferably when you don't have a meeting with your dad." I nodded smiling as I stood off of him and dusty myself off. Holding out a hand for him to get up.
"Go on. I'll get everyone back to camp and set up for watch." I threw his shirt at him and took off. My smile stretching as I got closer and closer to the comm tent. I slid my shirt on before entering and finding the dark brown haired man waiting.
"Hey, Persphyni." He smiled at me.
"Hey, dad."
