Strange whooping sounds turned all of our heads, the fight between me and the grounders stopping as we stared.

"Reapers!" Tristan's voice boomed through the forest as the whooping got closer. The grounders moved away from the gate and met the reapers head on. The battle was now between the two sides, giving me enough time to run over to Bellamy and Octavia whom the former was carrying.

"What the hell is that?" I heard her ask as I sprinted over.

"I don't know, but while they're distracted let's move." Bellamy said as I came from around the tree.

"I can clear a path." I breathed as I wiped the blood off my daggers, taking the time to breathe.

"Octavia." I watched Lincoln round the tree in the opposite side.

"Lincoln?" I smiled at their embrace, my eyes drifting towards Bellamy. His eyes meeting mine before snapping back to the two lovers.

"You did this?" He asked Lincoln.

"With Finn." I peeked around the tree still seeing a large number fighting on either side. "It's deep." I looked back down to Octavia to see an arrow in her leg. My adrenaline still pumping but I suddenly became aware of all my wounds. I hissed putting a hand on the tree. Trying to remain quiet to not draw attention to us.

"We need to go, now." I didn't look at them as I bit my lip, and straightened up. "Lincoln?" We made eye contact as I silently asked him the question. He nodded already ahead of me.

"I can help you, but you have to come with me now." He directed towards Octavia as he looked around. Bellamy stared between his sister and Lincoln.

"Go." He nodded towards the grounder. I pushed off the tree and looked towards the grounders who seemed to be winning the fight against the reapers. I would need to get back soon. "Let him help."

"No way. I have to see this through." I looked down at Octavia.

"Octavia, you have an arrow to the leg, you aren't staying. I can clear a path but it would take too long to get you to the dropship. You're smart enough to know you have to go." I turned to look down at Bellamy. "And you need to get to the dropship."

"She's right." Lincoln added. The three of us trying to convince the girl to go with him.

"O, O, listen to me. I told you my life ended the day you were born. The truth is, it didn't start until then." I looked back at the grounders seeing only a few reapers remaining. "Go with him. I need you to live."

"Bellamy." I hissed, my limbs tired and stomach had began to clot but still bled and stung. I needed to get him to the dropship before I ran out of adrenaline.

"Besides, I got this." Bellamy finished, chuckling slightly. Octavia and him embraced while me and Lincoln shared a look. We needed to go now. There was now only one reaper remaining.

"I love you, big brother."

I needed to get to the gate, but I had to make sure Bellamy was safe first.

"May we meet again."

"May we meet again." My left leg felt numb as I stood watching the tearful goodbye and keeping an eye on the grounders.

"Keep her safe."

I watched as Lincoln ran with Octavia in his arms, turning back to see the last reaper being cut down.

"Now to the wall!" The man who had cut down the last reaper roared. Tristan. I was going to be too late.

"Bellamy, we have to go now. I can get you in, and then I have to come back to the wall."

"No. Raven'll have the rocket ready. We're both going to the dropship. We are both making out if it alive." I gave him a sad smile.

"Okay." No we weren't. You would. Bellamy would. "But we have to move now." I followed Bellamy as we ran away from the grounders at the main gate. Seeing them hook the gate onto their horses.

I failed. They were going to get through.

We ran faster, slipping through the foxhole. Bellamy going first as I watched our six.

"There he is!" I heard Finn's yell as Bellamy made it into camp. Me just behind him.

"Bellamy! Run!" I gave Bellamy a shove and came out next to him. "Persphyni! Hurry!" Together Bellamy and I ran towards the dropship. I didn't get very far as I watched Tristan cut down our last line of physical defense.

"I'm sorry." I said aloud and charged straight into the grounders. To the other side of camp. Towards the main gate. Saving the few 100 that I could as I made them run back to the dropship.

I bled and I made them bleed. The blood of two sides stained the ground as I fought off the exhaustion in my bones.

For my family, for the 100.

The sounds of grunts and yells filled the air as clanging of blades sang though the wind. I had managed to get everyone that was still alive back into the dropship.

My grunts echoed as the blood rushed in my ears. I continued on. I didn't kneel. I hid my tiredness with my blades and blood.

"Persphyni!" I turned and saw Clarke waving at me to hurry. And I ran.
