Chapter Fifty-Six

DANNY'S POV

"Celestine. . " I uttered.

"Hi, Celestine Lopez Flores. May I come in?" she smiled at me genuinely. She's kind of pretty. No, She's gorgeous. And about her name, The surname of Lucas. 

"Anong ginagawa mo rito? Lucas is not here plus—" naputol ang sasabihin ni Chaster dahil sumagot si Celestine.

"I came here for Daniella. If you may excuse me?" she replied and looked at me smiling.

"Ah, Sige. Pasok ka. Chaster, If you wouldn't mind?"

Pumasok si Chaster sa kwarto niya at si Celestine rin sa dorm ko. I heard that his father is one of the Dean. Kind of rich?

Umupo siya sa sofa at naghanda naman ako ng maiinom. Nakatingin siya sa picture frame na nakalagay sa ibabaw sa lamesa sa gilid. Agad akong nagpunta doon at nilagay ang juice sa center table.

"Si Landon yun' di'ba?" she asked so I nod.

"Sorry? Just don't look at that. It's difficult to explain." I said and sat on the sofa infront of her. She's wearing a peach dress and it really suits her. Her bag looks expensive and her accessories looks elegant.
 

"Let's get this things straight. First of all, I just want to say Sorry for everything."

"For what?"

Lumapit siya sa akin at hinawakan ang kamay ko. "Look, I know that I've been a brat. I took Landon away from you and it's terrifying."

"You don't."

"I'm not asking you to stay away from him because I know that you were together for years. But can't you give me a chance for him, Daniella?"

"What do you mean a chance?" Hindi ko na alam kung ano ang sasabihin ko. My hands are trembling. My heart was beating so fast.

"I love Landon. He needs me and so do I."

"I know."

"Daniella, Just please spare him from me. I have nothing. You have Chaster and Carson as I see on the ball. Please, just Landon." namumuo na ang mga luha sa mga mata niya. Hindi ko alam kung anong isasagot ko. Nakakatanga!

Tumayo ako at tinanggal ko ang kamay niya sa pagkakahawak sa kamay ko. "Celestine, Do I look rude if I told you to go?"

"Daniella, Please." hinabol niya ang kamay ko dahilan para mapaluhod siya sa sahig. I bit my lower lip to stop my tears.

"Stand up."

"No, I will do everything . I will promise to take care of him. We're already married. And, I don't want you to see his mistress."

Umupo ako sa sahig para maging magkapantay kami. "Sorry." I uttered and wiped my tears from falling. "But I can't. . ."

"Celestine, Don't be mad at me. Alam ko naman yun eh. Kahit balik-baliktarin ang mundo, I'm still the mistress between us. But I can't let him go. . . I will wait for him as what he had promised."

"Daniella, Kahit katiting lang. Hindi na kita guguluhin. Just him. . . And I will be contented." she said between her sobs.

"I can't promise that but please try to let him fall for you. If that happens, I will try to reconsider. You're already his wife and I understand."

RAIN'S POV [It's been a while.]

"What the hell? Kabit na ni Lucas si Danny?" iritang tanong ko kay Rose.
