Her Power 1

I really don't know where to begin but I guess the beginning is a good a place as any.  Today Muxian arrived at the entrance and refused to leave even though I made it quite clear she was not welcome despite her insistence that she had uncovered a plot.  Honestly, that woman will try anything, so I ignored her.  If she really had information that dire, then my mountain is not the place to report it.

Only the longer she stays out there in the cold and damp, the more concerned I become.  Not for her wellbeing, because she is more than capable of taking care of herself.  But because she is insisting on remaining.  She might be infatuated with me, but she is  proud woman, she would not allow herself to be humiliated this long, so I am growing suspicious.

And for a while, I remain silent on my dais while my energy quietly moves about the entrance only to catch sight of a dark wisp of energy, along with a Celestial who should not be here.  Only the more I hone in on that dark energy, then suddenly Muxians energy flares drastically before disappearing altogether while the Celestial just as suddenly erupts into a fit of rage.

And suddenly I am on my feet and hurtling towards Xiaobai.  She has no idea what is happening, or why my energy is unstable, but I need to get her to safety and my study is the closest.  Throwing up a barrier to keep her hidden, I then storm the entrance while barking out orders to seal the mountain and scout the surroundings,

I never thought in my wildest dreams that it would be Sang ji who would kick this war off, but to feel his energy at the gate and feeling far too excited only to quickly switch to anger has me understanding one thing.  There is definitely a plot in progress, only it is he and Muxian who have devised it with dark energy beings they themselves have created and I know this, because his energy is all over them.

Both he and Muxian have devised a plan to not only save Xiaobai from their pretend demons but he also pretends to save Muxian in order to get her close to me.  Working together this way, would then see them hailed as heroes and the Demons as enemies which of course will further infuriate Liwei and his father.  And they almost succeeded.

Had I not felt that rising suspicion and then left under cover to investigate, they might have actually got away with it.  But not only do I kick the both of them off my mountain after ensuring their wounds had been taken care of, but I put aside my anger to talk to Xiaobai who has been left a little traumatised by what just happened.

Though I shouldn't have worried so much about her, because she is far more aware of the situation than I gave her credit for.  Not only did she work out on her own what had really happened, but she has made it clear that she will not marry Sang Ji.  Not after what he just did, only I do need to discuss the implications of his actions and what it will mean for the Demons and for her.

The Overlord has been embarrassed three times now.  Once at the Inventors Convention, again when I rescued her from his Palace and again today.  There is no way he is going to let this lie now, even with the concessions he has gained which were actually rather generous.  Saving face comes before gain, or at least for him, so I know without a doubt now that war is coming and it is all thanks to Sang Ji and Muxian.

If we are ever going to have eternal peace, old debts must be settled and so far, all we have had is a little rest before stage two of an old war that is rearing its head again.  I would be lying if I said I wasn't excited about it, in fact, her acting was purposely contrived to finish this once and for all.  And I know I may have used her to get us all to this stage, but in the end, she will never rule her Kingdom and live a happy life with the past still hanging over her head.
