I have been on this mountain well over two months, and Shifu said hes surprised at how quickly I have acclimatized myself to their way of life.  I think that might mean that I am fitting in, so I smile, but I still miss Mama and Zhen Zhen only I can't see them just yet.  Shifu said they are busy in the Celestial Heavens, but he obviously doesn't know that I can hear him talking to Die Feng in the next room where they have been for almost an hour.

Im curled up on my big cushion in the small room which is next to Shifus room.  Die Feng said I cant sleep next to him like I did before, because he needs to take care of him and I will be in the way, but I know its because he has to take Shifus clothes off to bathe him.  Uncle Zhe Yan has to do this for Papa, and I know this because I can hear them talking about my Papas injuries which is making me cry.

Shifu and Papa had a big battle along with my Mama and four brothers.  It turns out that we don't actually have an army, it was just them all along.  But because they used a secret Fox Clan spell that can split them up into multiple people, they looked like an army.  Thats why it took so long for Shifu to find the real them and thats why he got hurt, because Papas magic is clever like that.  

Only Shifu is saying they lost the battle because the more people they made, the weaker they became.  The trick was finding which was the real Papa and by the time Shifu found him, he was already severely injured and thats when their battle really took off because Papa wouldn't listen to Shifu and fought super hard not to be caught.

Papa can be very mean when he's angry, so I know the final battle would have been as spectacular as Shifu said it was, in fact he is laughing a little at how grand it was, only I think he and Papa are dumb and so is my mother for fighting, because shes injured too.  In fact, I find it hard to imagine her fighting, because she is the gentlest and kindest woman in the world.  Zhen Zhen is much like her, and only likes to practice fighting, though I reckon its just to show Papa how tough he is, but deep down he's not so tough, because anyone who can cuddle like him, is a big softy at heart.

I know I should be really angry with Shifu for hurting my Papa, but Im not.  Im angry with all of them, because poor me is stuck inside this side room crying while Shifu has a bed wash and gets to laugh and talk with Die Feng about my family!  I want to laugh and talk with him too, only Die Feng said I wont get any treats today if Im not a good girl.  He reminds me of my older brother Bai Yi.   Hes grumpy like him sometimes, and he doesnt cuddle me either because hes too busy trying to be tough like Papa, and Die Feng is trying to be tough like Shifu. 

Only I think all men are just dumb.  Because now Shifu is trying to be tough like Papa.  And thats because hes trying to figure out the spell they used.  Its not that hard because I can do it too.  Zhen Zhen taught it to me when I was little in case I couldn't get away from an enemy or boys who wanted to poke me in the belly.  Only he can make lots of himself, whereas I can only make one extra me because he said I need my new tails to make more and the more tails I earn, the stronger the spell will become, which now has me forgetting all about Shifu and Die Feng as my new tail comes to mind.

Its been a very long time since I've used this spell, because Zhen Zhen made strict rules around using it.  Im only allowed to use it if Im in trouble, so it takes a bit of time for me to remember the words and then how much energy to put into it, but after a little practice right there on my cushion, I make another me.  Only I don't know how to make more of me seeing as I have a new tail because Zhen Zhen didn't teach me the new words I'm going to have to learn, but its fun making another me in secret.  Only, its not easy to control her because the aim of the spell is to cause confusion and no sooner is she next to me, then she is up and rushing towards the door.  

Quickly reversing it again, I breathe a sigh of relief.  If Die Feng sees her before its time to leave the room, I wont get treats but its good to know that I can still make this spell work, it might come in handy to play tricks on Fu Yu later.
