I really didn't know what Shifus scheme would bring to Kunlun Mountain, I really didn't but it seems as if he did.  Or at least, he was prepared for anything because there is a side of him that I am only just seeing for the very first time, and this is perhaps his true face which I have alluded to in the past.

And that is, behind the tender eyes, soft smile and most gentlest way he goes about everything he does here on Kunlun Mountain, there is a most deadly War God hiding in a man I have loved for centuries.  I think it is always there, only in my eyes and in my heart, I refused to see it or even admit that it exists, but it is there now and fully on display as that Goddesses wounds are most carefully treated.

There is upmost contempt in his eyes as he writes out a script for Chang Shan to collect. Medicines, balms, tonics, oils and elixirs for the pain she is supposedly in.  And I say supposedly, because the second Shifu tries to leave, then she starts crying.  Her hands reach out for his and she purposely moves her injured limbs to gain sympathy when the pain rakes her body with uncontrolled spasms.

She really is shameless, it is obvious to everyone here that she is praying on Shifus goodwill and compassion for goodness knows what.  If anything, those eyes of hers are begging for far more than I care to see, but I am a Disciple of Kunlun Mountain and she is a guest, so I put on my own smile and offer to assist which instantly sets those eyes ablaze as if I had just offered to kill her.

"Actually that is a good idea Xiaobai, it is more appropriate for a woman to assist another women." he says rising tiredly only to stop and glare at the woman on the bed who is now trying to rise.

"Madam, please be careful of your injuries." I say quickly only to jump back when her hand slaps out towards me in fury.

"Madam?" she near spits in my face......  "Do you think I am that old?" she asks incredulously between a snarl at me and plea towards Shifu as if she actually wants him to strip her naked and rub the balm on her.  She really is this shameless!

"I am needed elsewhere, if you have any problems, just call Fu Yu, he is waiting outside the door which is to remain open." he says stiffly at me before getting up and storming out.

Like I said, Shifu is showing a face that goes beyond mere annoyance, there is a ruthlessness under that barely hidden contempt and its super scary because he would never intentionally act like this in front of anyone unless he despised them.  

And thats the thing!  There are heaps of Goddesses in this world who acted just as shamelessly, but Shanhu said this is the first time he has seen this deadly side to him.  Its hard to explain, because I am seeing it for the first time, but there is an intent to cause her serious harm which only has me wondering if my own suspicions might be correct while also wondering just how effective his medicines might be, because that is how fearful I am for her right now, only my dumb mouth now has me standing here in front of her and the only visible target for her anger.

"Tell me, what are you doing on this mountain?  It can't be just to gain an education." she spits angrily at me which I completely ignore and mainly because I have no idea what to even say to her, instead I move towards the bowl of water which has been left to clean her wounds before the balms arrive only she immediately sends it flying across the room with one wide sweep of her hand.

"Thousands of women have tried to gain a place on this mountain, so what makes you so special?  Is it that you are serving his needs like the gossip suggests?" she asks with a sneer that is uglier than the wound that has almost severed her arm, it is that hateful and like Shifu, I no longer care to be in the same room and rather than stand here and allow myself to be insulted which is not helping her cause in any way, I instead raise my arms to bow.
