Several days have passed since the convention but it feels as if any entire year has gone by and that is because I have been inundated by both interest in the ships rudder and the mayhem we had left behind. I fully expected the backlash and I initially dealt with it the same way I did when we up and walked out only Haode pulled rank and demanded that I explain myself seeing as it was my student who was representing Kunlun Mountain that had enraged several of the worlds elite including the Demon Lord it seems.
It is only the mention of that man that saw me heading to the Celestial Palace to ease the tension that was fast rising. It really is unfortunate that those judges allowed their biases to overrule fair play and what should have been a time of celebration for everyone, because The Demon Overlord has taken offense having been thoroughly embarrassed before the entire world.
Only the moment I step into a packed hall, then the accusations against Xiaobai immediately fly while I am left standing in the centre looking straight at Haode with my head and shoulders back and my face as calm as it always is. The noise goes on for sometime before he finally brings it to an end and only then am I greeted.
"Mo Yuan, it is a good thing you came. As you have heard for yourself, the accusations against your Disciple Princess Bai Qian has been made loud and clear which is hard to ignore, especially seeing as the Demon Overlord is also raising his voice. Though to be fair, his concern is with the judges rather than the girl, however, it doesn't change the fact that it was her voice that created this mess. Kindly explain your position." he says in a tone of authority that immediately raises my anger.
So few in this world have the right to address me in this manner and I certainly don't feel obligated to respond even if they did. But he is one that does have the right and only because he is sitting on that throne, but like I said, I will only to respond with respect if I think it is merited. And going by the way he has all but accused her of creating this mess has the anger rising by the second. Even more for the fact that I am merely here to address The Demons concerns which could spark retaliation which is a real threat. But that I am here for a girl who has done no wrong while disregarding the one who has every right to be offended, has me addressing Haode and the hall at large in a manner I am sure they were not expecting.
"Perhaps your question should be aimed at the judges Haode. My student merely exposed their bias and arrogance and if the rest of the world thinks this is ok, then I also suggest you also put the question to them." I reply most tersely and nor do I care for the uproar that follows, because I do exactly what I did at the convention. I promptly turn around and walk out.
Of course I was being naive if I thought it would all end there, which I truly hoped it would. Only the judges are determined to press charges against Kunlun Mountain for defamation of character which many of the world leaders are supporting. And this of course has me back in the Celestial Heavens on trial before Haode, Di Jun, Lord Pua and those men while the rest have been forced out on my orders.
So for three days I am forced to not only defend a little girl who's word is in question seeing as she used her fox hearing to listen in on their conversation with no way to prove it, but I myself am being forced to explain my position which is not only offensive to me, but my entire Kunlun family.
"Why would she lie when she was declared the winner?" I ask looking straight at those judges who all flinch at the anger in my tone which I cannot contain.
"I am not saying she is lying. I am suggesting she misheard." one of them replies with his head bowed being too afraid to meet my gaze.
