▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃EDMUND WOKE UP AN HOUR LATER and panicked. He specifically remembered Anastasia coming back and cradling him in her arms. So where was she?
He got up and started frantically looking around the room before the door opened. "Hey, it's okay." Her soft voice rang through his ears. He immediately calmed and took her in his arms. "It's okay. I'm okay." Edmund nodded along with her as she placed her hands on his face.
"You're okay." He mumbled over and over again, trying to burn it in his memory. He sighed and brought her into a tight hug. "You had me worried. I always knew one of these days you were bound to give me a heart attack." Anastasia chuckled and rubbed the back of his shoulders.
"I'm glad you didn't." She pulled back slightly and stared up at him. His eyes were intently taking in every feature of her face. "Can I kiss you?" He whispered. Once she nodded, he crashed his lips on her soft ones.
The two put all their love, worry, joy, and relief in the kiss. Anastasia slowly started smiling into it causing Edmund to smile. "What?" "Nothing." The two kissed while giggling before Anastasia pulled away.
"You should probably go and see if Peter needs any help right now." "But-" "I have to go wash off somewhere, Edmund. We'll spend the night together. Okay?" Edmund hesitantly nodded before giving her another kiss.
"I love you." "I love you too."

"This is actually pretty easy." Anastasia told Alastair. The two were walking inside after he gave her a few more lessons on sword fighting. "Yeah. You just need balance and concentration. Which are things you don't have."
Alastair chuckled as she jokingly shoved him before the two ran into Susan. Before any of them could speak, they heard something down the hall where Aslan's Table was.
They shared a look before running down the hallway. They walked in and saw chaos. Lucy and Trumpkin were laying off to the side after having stabbed Nikabrik. A dead wolf was a few feet away from them and a weird creature was on the other side.
"What the..." Alastair quietly mumbled as the three walked closer. They looked forward and saw Peter was standing in front of the White Witch who was encased in ice. Before they could do anything a sword went through the ice from the other side.
The Witch looked down before looking up and yelled as the ice shattered revealing Edmund behind it. "I know." Edmund panted while looking down at Peter. "You had it sorted." He lightly scowled before walking down the stairs and quickly making his way out.
Anastasia decided to wait a couple of minutes for him to cool off before following after him. "Where are you?" She muttered to herself as she ran around the Howe. If he's in the woods, I will not be going out there. She thought - having seen way too many horror movies.
10 minutes later, she stumbled into an empty hallway that she didn't know existed. She peeked over the corner and saw Edmund sitting against a wall. She slowly stepped out and walked over to him. He stared up at her until she took a seat next to him.
Anastasia opened her mouth to say something but quickly closed it. "What?" Edmund mumbled. "I was going to ask if you're okay, but it looks like you're not so I'll just sit here until you're ready." "Ready for what?" She shrugged at him. "Talk, leave, fight."
"You'd be the last person I'd ever want to fight." Edmund retorted. "Because you know you'll lose." Anastasia teasingly raised her eyebrows and he softly smiled. "Because I love you too much." "I love you too."
She put her head on his shoulder and they sat there for a couple more minutes. Edmund finally sighed and sat up straighter causing Anastasia to lift her head up. "Is this how you feel?" He asked. "What do you mean?" "Whenever you think of that situation you and Al never want to talk about."
Anastasia slowly looked down and thought about it. "Helpless? Feeling like it always haunts you so much that you're going out of your mind? Guilty?" She looked back up to see his nod. "Yes. But I've learned to ignore it so much that it goes away until I'm reminded of it."
Edmund was going to say sorry but tried her method of ignoring it. He sighed and pushed it as far away from his mind as he could before focusing on the girl next to him. He cleared every thought from his mind and simply thought about Anastasia.
How her eyes could basically change color but not from blue to orange. When she was sad they would be a dull color, mad was a solid color, happy was a lighter color. The progress she's made from all those (narnian) years and even though they got shoved back into their teenage bodies she's still trying to be better.
Honestly, there was so many more things Edmund could say, but if he had to sum it up, she's one of the most fascinating and strongest people he's ever known.
His hand slowly reached out and pushed hair from her face. Anastasia looked up and saw him staring at her like he was in a trance. He slowly dragged his hand down her cheek and she leaned into the gesture.
He lightly gripped her neck and pulled her closer to him. Their lips met and they passionately kissed. They pulled away and stared into each other's eyes. Slowly, they leaned in again and Edmund's hand moved to the back of her head.
Anastasia carefully moved onto Edmund's lap and put her hands on his neck to pull him closer. His hand suddenly tugged her hair and she tilted it to the side. He leaned over and attached his lips to her neck - sucking once she moaned at a certain spot.
His hips bucked up into hers and Anastasia quietly moaned again before pulling away.
"What's wrong?" Edmund questioned, worried he had done something wrong. "Do you want to keep going? I don't want you to do anything you don't want to."
She gave him a little smile and leaned in to kiss his cheek. "It was nice but maybe we should just...hold off on that. For a few years."
It was strange. It wasn't like they'd never done that before. After all, they did spend an entire lifetime in Narnia before being taken back into the real world. It wasn't natural that the two of them had spent time like that together. But it was different now. It always was after coming back.
Edmund knew this. So he calmed upon realizing it wasn't anything he did wrong. It was just a strange situation. So, he simply wrapped his arms around her waist and tugged her closer, letting her ease her head onto his shoulder.
"I love you, Annie. I really do." Edmund quietly whispered. She glanced up to him and tiredly smiled. "I love you too, Eddie." The two sat there a little while longer before having to get up and silently make their way to their 'room' for the night.
