Chapter Thirteen
______________

When Harry and I left the room and returned to the living room, we received stares. They weren't regular stares either; it's like they were trying to figure out what happened between us. Zayn didn't have a smirk on his face and everyone else seemed to be waiting on a answer.

Before we came down, Harry began a quick make out session with me after fixing his attire but he didn't say anything after. Once his lips parted away from me, he opened the door and made his way down the stairs.

There were so many questions flooding my mind. I didn't know if he planned on telling them or not until we sat down on the couch and he simply said, 'nothing happened' then shrugged his shoulders.

I didn't know whether to be relieved or a bit upset.

Zayn then asked Harry if I chickened out as if I wasn't in the same room as the rest of them and Harry broke me into pieces by saying, 'Danielle's cool and all.. she's just not my type.'

My heart skipped a whole beat when I heard him say that. Nobody else seemed to have heard it but I did and it messed me up good. I wanted to say so many things in front of his friends but I was reluctant.

After about another thirty minutes to an hour, the game came to an end. I expected Harry to at least tell me goodbye, but he didn't.

I felt stupid for what I did upstairs because it didn't prove a thing, clearly. He still saw me as the good church girl who listened to their parents, and I knew that's how he saw me because he didn't mind talking to violet, who is the same girl that was practically begging for his attention throughout the night after that kiss.

When I arrived at home, my parents were livid. They said they had been calling me all day, but I wasn't answering and that left them worried. It crushed me to see how stressed I made them become and it made me realize that I wasn't ready to be that girl I always dreamed of being.

I didn't want to have my parents worried about me like they were yesterday night. The looks on their faces were painful to gaze at when they spoke.

Luckily, I changed into my regular attire but my hair was still out in waves. I was too focused on getting out of those inappropriate clothes and heading home before my parents caught me that I completely forgot about my hair.

My mother had a lot to say about me wearing my hair down, but my excuse was that I slept too wild the night before that the braids that were already in my head started to unravel. Plus, she wasn't here to fix it for me. She understood and blamed herself for not having her daughter prepared for the day before leaving without telling me they weren't going to be home.

They claimed that they had to attend work earlier than usual because there was an emergency where they both were needed at the hospital and dentist office, which I understood.
