She just wanted to live a simple life, raise her baby sister and leave the gangster life for her brother but when fate or rather, a shootout led her to meet Ky'Mon Bells, her brother's rival and the top kingpin, her world is turned upside down.
The...
Tiesha sat cross-legged on the bed, wrapped in Ky’Mon’s oversized T-shirt and her underwear, scrolling lazily through Instagram.
The soft glow of the phone screen was the only light in the room besides the muted hum of Ky’Mon’s laptop clicking away beside her.
Between them, Esther played quietly with her blanket, fingers fluttering over the soft fabric as she explored the textures of the world around her.
But peace didn’t last long. Without warning, Esther pushed the blanket away and began to cry, small fists scrabbling at the sheets.
Ky’Mon didn’t even look up. “Drop that phone and feed my child, Tiesha. You got the milk right there. You wanna sell it or what?”
Tiesha rolled her eyes but set her phone aside. She lifted Esther gently into her arms, pulling the shirt up to expose her breast.
The baby’s eyes squeezed shut, face scrunching as she searched eagerly for the nipple. When Tiesha guided it into her mouth, Esther’s expression softened immediately, lips wrapping around the warm skin as she began to suckle.
“Just three more months for you,” Tiesha murmured, glancing at Ky’Mon with a knowing smile.
“The fuck you mean?” he asked without missing a beat, raising an eyebrow at her.
“I ain’t breastfeeding after she hits nine months.”
Ky’Mon chuckled low in his throat. “You trippin’, Lil mama.”
“I’m not.”
“Nah, you’re trippin’ ‘cause you gon breastfeed my child for two years straight.”
“Stop playing with me, Ky’Mon. I don’t have time for that.”
“What? You busy or you planning on having another baby so soon? ‘Cause then I’d understand why you wanna breastfeed for nine months.”
Tiesha ignored him, shifting the topic. Ky’Mon went back to typing, and she watched Esther’s breathing even out as she drifted toward sleep.
“How you coping at work?” she asked, her voice soft.
He nodded without looking up. “Isaac’s good. I miss office pussy, though.”
Tiesha smirked, eyes flicking to the baby now half-asleep on her lap.
“When you gonna do your hair?” Ky’Mon asked, tugging playfully at a loose strand that fell across her face.
“Today,” she said. “Got someone coming over for home service.”
Leaning back against the headboard, she gently pulled Esther off her breast, causing the baby to frown but not wake.
She flipped Esther face down on her lap to burp her, but the little girl was already deep in dreamland.
So damn cute. Without hesitation, Tiesha grabbed her phone and took a quick picture.
