Freya Hale only wanted to have a normal life. Everyone had always said that there was something different about her. It only took someone special for her to realize that they were all right.
I'm sitting in me and Ambrose's bed minding my own business. I would hang out with Sabrina but she and Nick are having a little make out session in her room. So instead I'm taking my nervous energy out on my nails by repainting them black. I swear this night feels like it has been going on forever. I'm finishing my last nail when suddenly Ambrose appears in front of me.
"Ambrose?" I go to hug him when I notice he's covered in blood. "Ambrose?! What happened?! Are you alright." Ambrose goes to touch me but quickly pulls back his hands when he realizes that they are covered in blood. "Where's Sabrina?" He asks. We run through the house to Sabrina's room and throw open the door.
"Get off we have a major problem!" I yell as I slam the door behind us. Sabrina quickly crawls off Nick and sees all the blood. "What happened!?" She freaks out. "He's dead!" Ambrose says. "Who is dead?" Sabrina asks.
"I was guarding his chamber and there was blood. Oh, dear Lucifer. The Anti-Pope is dead and I don't remember how or why or who!" Ambrose says. He starts panicking and he desperately wants to grabs something or do something but he is too cautious of the blood everywhere.
"It- it wasn't me. You have to believe me." He starts crying out. "Ambrose! Darling! We believe you." I tell him trying to call him down. "No no no. You're not capable of such a thing." Sabrina says also trying to calm him down. There's a loud bang downstairs and Salem and Kai are hissing. Blackwood is here.
"They're coming for me. Blackwood and the Judas boys will murder me." He says. "Well there's no way in heaven I'm letting that happen. Nick, get Ambrose someplace safe. Go now. Sabrina and I will stall them as long as we can." I say. "Ambrose, I love you so much. Okay? Everything will be fine." I tell him. He nods slowly and he and Nick disappear.
"Where is he? Where is the murderer Ambrose Spellman?" Father Blackwood yells storming into the house. Sabrina and I run down the stairs to meet them. "Murderer? What are you talking about?" Sabrina asks. "Why? What happened? Is Ambrose okay?" I ask frantically. I'm not fully acting. I am freaking out.
"Sabrina. Freya. Is he here?" Aunt Zelda asks. "No. We haven't seen him. It's our one night we can do girls night. No boys allowed" Sabrina explains. "Freya would lie to protect him. Search the house. TURN IT UPSIDE DOWN!" Father Blackwood yells. The Judas boys push by Sabrina and I, almost trampling us to the ground. The Aunties quickly pull us aside to try to protect us.
I just pray Nick got him out of here in time. "Bring me the head of Ambrose Spellman!" Father Blackwood yells. The Judas boys cheer from around the house. I start to cry. Everyone thinks I'm crying because I'm confused and scared. I partially am. The other reason I'm crying is because I know Ambrose is safe. He's not here.
15 minutes go by and the Judas Boys have come and gone. Of course they didn't find anything. Ambrose wasn't here. In fact, I don't even know where he is right now. The Aunties pull Sabrina and I into the kitchen and we make some tea.
"You don't really think Ambrose killed the Anti-Pope, do you, Auntie Zee?" Sabrina asks. I take a long, slow sip of my tea. "He was covered in blood, dagger in hand, and when confronted, he spirited himself away." Aunt Zelda said. I start to cry again. I knew my Ambrose would never kill anyone. But things were looking terrible. Aunt Hilda rubs my back.
"Yes, because he thought Father Blackwood was going to slaughter him like he had the other boys." Aunt Hilda said. I wiped away some tears. "Aunt Zelda, this is Ambrose. Cousin Ambrose-" "My Ambrose." I say sadly. "Yes. The very same Ambrose who plotted to blow up the Vatican." Aunt Zelda says. Suddenly Father Blackwood walks into the kitchen.
"Come Zelda, we must return to the Academy. Tomorrow will be all the more challenging." He says. "Wait, you're not going through with the wedding, are you?" Sabrina asks. "The Church of night needs strong leadership right now. The hunt for Ambrose Spellman will continue and so, too, will our wedding." Blackwood says.
Aunt Zelda rises and is forcibly escorted out of the house. I start to cry again. This time even harder. I end up collapsing onto the floor and Aunt Hilda and Sabrina quick join me. So we just sit there on the floor crying together.

Freya
The next morning is one of the worst that I've ever experienced. Today would be both a wedding and a funeral. Some kind of sick, fucked up ritual that Blackwood has set up. Aunt Hilda finished trying the back of my dress before stepping back and looking at me in the mirror.

"There, there love." She says pulling my red hair back into a low bun. "You look beautiful. Meet me downstairs when you're ready to go. okay?" She asks tucking a loose strand behind my ear. I slowly nod.
I didn't sleep the night before. My tears feel dry and my head weighs a hundred pounds. Was I even going to seem Ambrose ever again? If the Judas boys find him before I do they will kill him on sight. I sigh and try not to cry again. Before I slip on my shoes and meet Aunt Hilda downstairs, I grab one of Ambrose's robes off the hook and take in a deep breath. Trying to keep the scent of him with me as long as I can.
I meet Aunt Hilda downstairs and she offers me her arm. She says something about Sabrina meeting us at the church but I don't really hear her. I'm so numb at this point that I don't know if I'll ever feel ever again. We make it to the Church and everyone has taken their place. I get to sit in one of the front pews because I'm considered family of the bride.
It isn't until that unholy music starts to play that I slowly starts to snap back into reality.
